Hand to hand weapon/skills

I have no brainpower lef to write something comprehensive because I have been staring at computer screens all day... but take a look at the latest update for my Unarmed Warfare mod:

I have now (finally) added in a perk tree for Unarmed. I moved the Pickpocketing perks to Sneak, and moved my Unarmed perks to the open Pickpocketing slot. I also managed to change the name to "Unarmed" and to add in three new perks. :-)

 

Getting new items and animations will be the next part.

Cool. Nice work Wover. I was wonder can the hand weapon be made into a ring? Would it still work? If you look at this oblivion mod that's what he did, I think it was so you could wear armor and a hand weapon.Claws and Monk Gear

 

I had some ideas for hand weapons but i can't find any good images to help.

First how about broken glass on knuckles, Rambo 2 style.

The other design I was thinking of would be a single blade that curves around the fist. From top knuckle to bottom in a half moon. I'll try to draw what I mean but my drawing suck so it'll look bad.

TESVSnip

TESsnip is a low level plugin editor that allows you to open esm/esp files, view the record structure and cut/copy/paste records and subrecords between different parents, including different esp's. You can also view and edit the data saved in a subrecord, in either hex or string format, as well as editing record headers.

 

Requires .NET 3.5

 

Just in case it helps. A friend tried to test it by duplicating the One-Handed tree and renaming it. In theory it made one more tree but in practice Skyrim crashes. I asked him to check if it could be due to a conflict between the two trees affecting the same parameters, I'll tell the results if he does some changes. I guessed it was good to share!

 

@jonniezombietronic: I was totally going for the wraps! I have to make some more concepts when I have time and the skill tree issue is figured out =) The metal knuckles seem nice, I'll probably go for a more simple and rough version. I also wonder if some rings with pointy/sharp stones could make extra damages? Classy and still deadly XD

@jonniezombietronic Those are exactly the types of models I want. Gloves would work excellently as well, but weapons that use a bar through the hand rather than adding a glove would allow me to add weapon that don't interfere with the armor.

 

@MoonSweets Yeah, I tried TESSnip as well and got similar results. I know how their file structure and formats work very well now, because of it. But I tried for probably 3-4 hours straight and just ran into crashes. Got me frustrated. I'll probably try to get back into the TESSnip code again, but I'm just not sure that it's possible to create a new skill. For one thing, I'd have to do UI editing. But I'm not sure where the UI information is, and would be clueless at editing it. :-/

So, i've finally found a way to let unarmed attacks count as one-handed attacks!!! ;D

Told in short version, its a 2handed with all the animation of unarmed. the 'item' is called

"Fist Coating". I've tested it and it works fine, tho the only down side i can't fix myself is that

the 'item' will appear as a iron dagger ingame (tho once you equip it, it looks like your regular

fists).

 

Only avaible on Steam, name of mod: Acidcrew's Perk Update.

 

(I haven't made a stand alone version of the unarmed chance, mabey i will, mabey i won't).
