cdevac1 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Once you pick a lock you never gain lock picking experience on that lock again. A mod that allows you to continue gaining experience when you have to pick the same lock later in the game would be awesome, and a lot less frustrating.

IsharaMeradin Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Any lock even if it has been previously unlocked will provide experience when picked again after the cell resets. The only locks that will not are those that have keys created with the wax key perk provided you keep those keys in your inventory.
cdevac1 Posted March 25, 2017 Author Posted March 25, 2017 Hmmm, it may just be me then. When I pick a lock it's a one shot deal. The next time I have to open the same chest I get no experience boost from picking it. It's just a bit frustrating to have to pick the same lock 3 or 4 times in a game and get nothing for it. In addition, the time comes when you've picked all the locks in Skyrim and the lock picking tree becomes useless and, short of going back to Miraak's tower in Apocrypha, any perks in that tree are lost. The mod was just a thought as a way to keep things moving on.
