[LE] How can I make dwarven spheres come out of their ports in a custom level?

I have a custom level I'm working on that I would like to add dwarven sphere enemies to. I'd like them to come out of their wall ports, but I can't seem to make that happen. As of right now, all they do is sit in front of the port without first exiting. I've tried copying and pasting a port and ambush marker that I know work, but the copies don't function the same way as the original. I've also tried setting up the ambush with objects (port and ambush marker) I added myself, but that hasn't worked either, even though the objects I added are, as far as I can tell, identical to preexisting ones that work (ie: all tabs in the "Edit" menus look identical for my objects and the original objects). If someone could share how to make this ambush/encounter work, I would be very appreciative.

Go into the WarehouseAmbushes cell. Bethesda setup a bunch of prefab ambushes there. Just copy them over with all elements selected.

I did this, but the sphere still appears in front of the port. I copied the port, the ambush marker, and the trigger.

Have you navmeshed and finalized the cell. Sometimes ambushes will not work properly if the cell has no navmesh.

It certainly doesn't work without navmesh. You don't need to finalize nav for it to work. Also, the port trigger needs to be close to the ground/navmesh level, too high and the game doesn't know where to spawn the NPC.

No, I haven't. Thank you both.

Does the entire cell need to be navmeshed? Currently, only the area around the port has been, and the sphere still just sits in front of the port. I'm going to navmesh the entire thing regardless, of course, but is this a sign that something else is causing the issue?

This is harder than it would seem. I ended up creating a box script that did the same thing as the ports.

I'd love to show you but sadly I can't post here without getting attacked by toxic haters ...

Alright, I'll try and see if I can do the same. Thanks.
