This whole dunmer taking over the world and killing all other races idea is reminding me of Hitler.

Witch makes you an excellent marksman target... I think you underestimate the Imperials way to far... It might be they wont win but a lot of people underestimate the power of the Imperials.

mages that can fly may also cast sanctuary, im sure. thats a battlemage that theyd send to seige a fort. you have a flying guy in full heavy armor thats harder to hit. they could also have a fly skill with high magnitude, making them faster. its not too hard to dodge an arrow, and they dont hit as hard. threat gone with only about five men.

There are only 8 archers in the game!!! There are not enough to defend the fort or all of them. Archers would no tstop mages who go over the walls because almost none exist. The imperials would no twin or hold any position anywhere and would be destroyed. Also any of the outside races in any province would quickly be destroyed leaving only the native race in all of the provinces. You cannot say that because the dunmer are divided that they would loose. 1) the horator fixes that 2) how do you know that the other races are not suffering the same problem with the lack of unity. The dunmer with their unique strongholds would be able to hold off any enemy invasion with ease since they can have their whole army at any one battle.

Hey conquered all the other races because they attacke with all they had in each of the provinces at different times. One on one they were able to defeat all the other races but when all are at war it is a different story. Once the aproximately half that are in ate other provinces are killed the imperials would be very weakened. The imperial province is the most likely spot to be attacked and would easily be over rin by the other races.

The imperials are in the way. To even get through to the dunmer the imperial province has to be destoyed to get there. Ships would be pointless since they are slow and in an all out war you do not want you men at sea when your home is being attacked. All the races in an all out war of the races would first do a clensing of their provinces by destroying all the outsiders and since many happen to be imperials the imperials would suffer a great loss before any other did. Most races would take to attacking their borders ( if they were smart since this way you also protect you land while destroying the enemy) and since the imperials are a common enemy in this secnerio, have a border with all the others, and are in the way of attacking others would be attacked. THE IMPERIALS WOULD BE ATTACKE DFROM ALL DIRECTIONS. With the previos loss of men from the provinces the imperials would have little to stop the attack. When attackinfg all of the borders atleast 1/4 of each of the races' armies would be directed toward the imperials. The imperials would not be able to defend against the power of 1/4 of all the races' armies and would be destroyed. IF the other races want ted to get to the dunmer as you mentioned they would most likely try to go through the imperial province since it is also killing two birds with one stone. Fist of all they would defeate one of their enemies and have access to attack others that they could not attack before. Plus some probably have grudges against races on the other side of the imperial provinces. THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE IMPERIALS WOULD WIN. THEY COULD NOT.

the imperials could use their "imperial law" to use authority and cleanse in other lands. currently, the empire is the ENTIRE continent. the other races have no real kings, just look at morrowind: their king was a figurehead, nothing more. also, ships would be useful as there are no ballistas. ships are the only mobile thing they have around the continent.

 

However, had the dwemmer still been alive, they could tunnel a collective web under the continent and attack like fire ants from the viscious little nest. they also actually have ballistas and the metal to build tanks/flying things/etc. they would be an ideal race for conquest IF THEY WERE STILL ALIVE. and every other race would fall to them.
