  1. Hello, Ive been kicking around this community long before skyrim and Oblivion were even imagined.. specifically the modding community with Morrowind. I'm familiar with the old construction set, and the Creation Kit bears quite a resemblance to it.. Is there anyone here that can summarize (with no great detail, I can also read tutorials) the differences when it comes to how to write quests in the game? (as in, how to get them to work correctly) I'm assuming the dialogue system is way different. Thank you. I use Steam quite a bit and my acct name is: Moving_Salad . I use voice conversation frequently, and I'd go on chat but I was just banned. I've gotten in to petty squabbles with Chat moderators about 'bad language and inappropriate subjects' before so I've been digitally spanked out of the chat. If any modders would like to chat with another creative, likeminded individual I'd really like to do so. I want to contribute some time and energy in to making some interesting new quests. I have sound equipment and could pull off creating some interesting characters with unique voice acting. I have a pretty impeccable understanding of Elder Scrolls Lore as well.
  2. I totally agree with viewing oblivion as the less intelligent, but better looking cousin of Morrowind. Morrowind is an extremely good game and I highly suggest it for anyone who enjoyed the elder scrolls universe from later games, such as Oblivion. You need to understand that the graphics are far poorer than that of Oblivion, because at the time, Bethesda's main focus was to create a very in depth roleplaying game, not a flashy, beautiful looking smooth-running Oblivion that they made five years after. Just keep that in mind when you buy this game, which you totally should, because there are dozens more quests and an overall larger landmass with a more diverse universe with bigger factions and even larger modifications which have stacked up over the past eight years that the game has been released for. Cheers,.
  3. I would ask for the unaskable, the meaning of life.
  4. There are many different things that oblivion could have, but it doesn't. My dream oblivion mod would change the entire environment to give you a mroe vast feeling of the Province of cyrodiil, just like in the literature that we read about Cyrodiil in Morrowind. In my opinion, Cyrodiil was a let down when moving up from Morrowind. I'd like a mod that would make Darkelves more like they were in morrowind, essentially more badass, with their ruddy voices.
  5. Hmm, strange. I have never had errors with installing the expansions, if anything I've fixed my game from doing so. Maybe elaborating on the error a little more may make it easier for us to diagnose the problem. Just fiddle around with things, try and find some reason behind why you are having the problem. If it doesn't work, backup your saves and reinsstall the game. Install it without any mods, and once that's done reinstall the expansions and try again. I'm certain we can make sure Bloodmoon can get working for you, I will not stand to see any morrowind player do without! So feel free to continue asking for help if it doesn't work. Edit: Double post! I'm an idiot!
