Each province does have a king. Helseth is the current presiding king of Morrowind, with Duke Vedam Dren under him to control Vvardenfell. Figurehead? No. Why would someone assasinate another to become a 'figurehead'.

Why not? The conquered provinces would most likely want to be rid of their opressors (benine or otherwise), and the lands conquered by the pen and not force might have a lust for more land too.

i was reffering to the assassinated. he WAS a figurehead. and HE was the one who liscensed Duke Vedam Dren, who is actually mostly a figurehead for the shaddow of the Comonna Tong. His own brother runs it, for daedra's sakes!

Actually, if you do the Hlaalu quests (I wont blame you if you dont...) you find out that Duke Vedam Dren is completely opposed to the Commona Tong. He hates their existence.

 

His own brother runs it, for daedra's sakes!

You also have to remember his brother wants him assasinated.

sorry if i offend anyone, but the nordic race would conquer all. i play as a nord and i simply dont die. the closest ive come was at the hands of another nord. i simply sidestep incoming magic attacks then lunge at my eneny when he is preparing another. a well equipped nord is virtually indestructable. if you try life as a nord, youll understand once you go back to one of the inferior races (no offence :blush: )

Thats just your character what use will he do in a battle one person can't change the course of a battle, the closest you've ever died was to a Nord right which Nord was that? Have you even played any quests like Tribunal were you have to fight Almalaxeia who is stronger than any Nord in the games.

 

Nords can conquer Tamriel they did do in the past they had in their control Morrowind, High Rock and Cyrodil but that was in the first Era.

I have seen many powerful nords, besidese the high ordinators are the strongest other than the gods. Have you fced one of them yet, the ones with magical equiptment are 3 times as powerdul as the normal high ordinator. The dunmer have the strongest strongest soldiers in the game.

I have a Dunmer who will not die (even when I try to kill him), and has never came close to dying. Every pc in the game becomes that, no matter the race.
