If there were a war of the races

Can you give reasins to support your side in this. I have been giving so many reasons that the imprerials would loose and almost everyone says that they would win and gives no reasoning.

I think that it all depends on the enviroment like someone said earlier. The enviroment that the creature is in causes everything to change. Like the Argonians who are skilled in Guerilla warfare and are best at fighting in the swap areas.

Yes but they did control some provinces in non violent ways so how do we know if they could take those provinces in a war we don't.

ONe thing about the imperials is that they never won whwn it came to conquering tamriel. Most of the provinces were added through treaty and were not added by force. Also if all are destroyed so are the imperials and i would be right that they would be defested. The imperials would be the first to go and all the facts have lead me to believe this. Also you are wrong Sludgewort, i the races are not really dependant on oneanother. If one race died out the others would just continue doing what they do. It is not that one race holds all of one profession. There is someone from each race that hold a different profession and if one race died out there would be no problems for the others. Even if there were not enough of a certain profession left after the destruction people would convert to stay alive. If there were not enough farmers more would become farmers to meet the demand and stay alive.

If it was only by treaty why did the provinces accept then? They were not defeated, there were no battles...

 

They signed the treaties cause they feared a war with the Empire. No body gives away his land by treaty just for the fun of it. They fear the Empire, they fear the imperial legions... There is no other logical reason why they would sign the treaty and give away their home..

This is very true, the empire may have power, but there hasnt been war for some time in Tamriel, though the empire remains a symbol of power and dominion, i do agree with the empire (even though i despise it), their attiteude twards slavery is comendable, and i do agree with them haveing almost a police state in Morrowind and mainly in Vvardenfell, the Dunmer, despite their honorable way of life, do seem a bit dengerous when veiwed from the conquesting empire's side, and i finaly do admit that the empire would win in a war of the races, but not by the sword but by the word, the empire has been out of combat for quite some time, and the legions have long since gone under regimented training, so in conclusion i belive that the war of the races would end in the empire negotiateing for the enemies land, but then again, theres always that chance tha another formidable power could rise up and defeat the empire...
