Margoltz
I recently deleted quite a few of my saves directly out of the file located in (I kept all of my recent saves) C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SavesWhen I tried to launch Skyrim today it loaded to the title screen fine, and even went into one of the load screens. After a while (about my average loading time) the game crashes to my desktop. No windows error comes up so I know it is something with my game. I'm not sure if this crash is due to the fact that I deleted my previous saves or if it is due to patch 1.4 which was just releases today.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Dubnoman
I'd like to delete some of my saves, since my saves folder is 2.28 GB. How do you do this? Just simple go into the folder and manually delete the saves? Is that the safe, legit way to do it? I don't want to screw up anything.
Margoltz
From my experience I would recommend not doing it that way.I was the exact same way (I had over 400 saves) I'm not sure if the game's CTD is due to the 1.4 patch or if it is the fact that I deleted the saves. If I were you I would at least wait to see the solution from this thread before deleting the saves. Margoltz
I resolved the issue, turns out it was a small clothing retexture that was causing the crash. So Dubnoman if you want to go ahead and delete your saves directly from the save file go ahead and do it.
