So it's in the game now:

Download: http://up.ht/A1fGUw

Upgraded dmg (lvl33, smithing 100)

I hope the dmg scaling works as it should...

Forge: Daedric perk or player.additem xx001000 1 (xx= load order of the mod)

Check out if it works (it does on my computer), i sized it to fit into the hand/scabbard - had no time for further tweaking, busy atm as usual and even making it standalone took a while.

EDIT:

How to change size/position:

Download NIFSKOPE 1.1.0-RC4, open both NIF files and edit the values in the green box, same values in both files:

How to adjust the lighting:

Edit the values of this block

or change the cubemap for different light reflection properties:

Cubemaps are located in textures\cubemaps\...

Always do the same edits in both nif files.

greetings

Thank you, this helps a great deal.. I guess I'll have to wait for the CK to come out to apply the 40/40/40 Fire/Frost/Shock effect then, but that's okay because these are for my brother's character mostly.

Is there anything I can do about the normals? hmm I'll probably have to re-harden the defined edges and reimport to nifSkope? I haven't touched nifSkope until this morning so I'm still quite a noob at that whole process.

Any random tips on anything would be great.. this is my first attempt at modelling for a game.

Anyways thanks again this is excellent. :)

What you want to change? The edges are already smoothed so... ?

If you want to reimport a new object you may check out my short version tutorial (without deleting the blood effect blocks of course):

Just the one side.. but now that I think about it it's probably because I haven't offset and continued the texturing properly for the maps..

Dude it came out so good.

So the blood map is imported separately?

When I import (model & blood area) do I have to be on a specific layer?

Do I need to extract something for the cubemaps? I don't see them

It should be possible to add an enchantement using SkyEdit:

And i guess you can adjust the enchantement and add effects by editing those settings or create a copy of the enchantement, rename it and link it to your weapon as seen on the first image.
