Your very own Fallout Shelter

Sick of a rad storm blowing over and even though you're in a secure concrete structure you pick up rads?

Well how about a modular fallout shelter? If your character can make a fusion reactor surely he can dig a hole in the ground!

 

Ideas for what the mod would be;

 

- A classic fallout shelter such as the one in Sanctuary Hills.

 

- Possibly various levels of comfort or equipment tied to perks?
(Sounds a bit hard to me but then again I know little about modding)

indeed, there is that option,

and it is a mighty fine option.

 

I am curious as to what else you might envisage though, since you're looking at mod vault stuff.

is there any exegetical ideas as well?

so, there's also

VaultTecDLC + Place Anywhere,

Darth-Wayne's build your vault,

DDProductions vault stuff...

greekrage, you name it.

 

you can place the jumbo cargo elevator on the outside,

and it can ride all the way to the vault area, it can even have a vendor settlement on the elevator,

while you go to vault 666 - dante's inferno vault.

It was a prototype vault near boston, to see the tolerances of closer proximity to the mantle...

 

so, with Any Door Any Where (or, FO4GECK on doors etc),

you can map a door to another door in a new-lands area,

such as the "vault interior resource" etc, and make your vault there.

it won't be effected by rads etc, and if you build your settlement as a non-settlement,

then you'll never be sent there by Preston or the BoS or Institute hehe.

 

in terms of holograms, forcefields etc,

we're still making several different approaches for those,

though Greek-rage's secret entrances have to be some of the most awesome ways to disguise your vault.

we'll make them as "sprites", or, animations which play on a face-group, mapped to a shape such as a cylinder etc.

 

we're also working on

'liquid metal doorways',

'klemens torggler' inspired variable geometry scrap doors

holographic disguised doorways (holy holographic terror, batman!)

 

so, you could make your vault a clone of The Institute, and hi-retro-futuristic-tec
