TheEnglishPhoenix
I am a new player and I've been thinking of getting Skyrim once again so I can play it this time on the PC rather than PS3. I've also heard that it is possible to mod Skyrim so I thought I try it and see what it was like. From watching videos of the modding it looks easy enough: download a mod from the Nexus Mods website via the Nexus Mod Manager, make sure you have all the right mods so that mod can work, install the Nexus Mod Manager in the right folder so it can work, get LOOT to make sure that each mod is in the right load order, run the the game and hey presto. The thing is though the mods don't work at all. So here's my situation: I have quite a few mods downloaded via the Nexus Mod Manager (around 14 I believe) and when i look at the plugins part of the manager none of them are red and don't require any other mods for them to work. So i open up Skyrim via Steam and the main menu appears where you can decide to play the game, change the graphical options, etc. Anyway I check the Data Files part of the main menu to so i can see what mods for me to load for Skyrim. I make sure to tick all of the boxes so the mods can be loaded into Skyrim and after that I press play to play the game. Now here's the problem (you can see I'm getting quite annoyed at this point). As soon as I start playing the game from previous saves, it appears that my mods do not show up at all. I don't know how this has happened. I have the LOOT thing installed and I've used it 3 times just to make sure that all my mods are in the right load order. I've even gone as far as to do an anti virus scan because you can never been too sure and after this I've restarted my computer on several occasions and crossing my fingers, hoping that my mods will become available the next time I start playing Skyrim. But sadly it's always the same case. Absolutely nothing. I don't know what to do anymore. PLEASE HELP!!! P.S. I do have all of the DLC because i bought the Legacy Edition I think it's called. DoctorKaizeld
You have to start a new game and this is not the skyrim mod troubleshooting forum.
