loveme4whoiam
Myself, i go PC-Cillin (sp) free with my snazzy new nForce2 board from Asus. I thought about buying Norton but so far the built-in firewall that comes with Cillin has come up trumps. What would you guys say?
Switch
Well, personally I use Norton Personal Firewall 2003, but it can be a bit over protective at times. I haven't really tried any other firewalls, I daresay there are better ones but it's worked alright for me so far :P Anti-virus is Norton too. Heck, all my system maintenance programs are Norton really. Besides my spyware checker :P
Zmid
I use Norton as well (got the Internet Security package free with my motherboard) and I back that up with Spybot Search and Destroy for spyware&adware etc, which is rather good, especially considering it's absolutely free. AdamNeko
Personally, I use Zone Lab's Zone Alarm Firewall on my PC and I combine that with the deep scanning and removing power of GriSoft's AVG Anti-Virus. I personally use the free edition of AVG 6.0 which I still have support for, thankfully. I don't know too much about their 7.0 version, but it has actual tech-support for it, but one would need to purchase this, but I am unsure as to whether or not their anti-virus definitions are availible for free after that. ohGr
im a norton person as well, in fact, it is over protective, whenever i go to this site"TROJAN ERROR!"whenever i open kazza"TROJAN ERROR RESET COMPUTER NOW"whenever i start up windows"defragmenting..."whenever i scan disk"FOUND 249865 BAD FILES, DELETING NOW" you get the picture the mighty sheer grunt of a grim and frostbitten Pentium 3 500 combines with the grim and frostbitten power of norton = ...im thinking
Jesugandalf
I use Panda Titanium. I think it's a Spanish company, so you might not know it... Anyway, it's free for us university of Valladolid students... :)
drowst
Personally, I don't trust software based firewalls, so I have a hardware firewall, a sonicwall soho 3. This moves the first line of defense of my local boxes and provides NAT for my home network. I used to use Norton Antivirus, until I installed NAV 04 and it didn't work. A conflict somewhere. So right now I'm using the free one from grigsoft, AVG I think it is, until either symantec figures out the problem or I find a better solution than symantec.
