DiseasedPunk
Tiny personal firewall. It's an awesome firewall and is more than most people need for a decent price.
Shakkara
No firewall besides what's in my router (and I have DMZ on right now so even that doesn't work), and no virusscanner either. I have several proxy programs to route my connection through and lots of ad and script blockers. Also have Spybot S&D against that kind of stuff. In case of an emergency I have the DOS variant of F-Prot antivirus (am running on windows98). In the last year I only got one virus from a LAN party, I was immediately alerted due to unusual harddrive activity and kicked it's sorry little butt from my PC myself before it could do any damage. I also often use netstat to see if there are any weird connections to my PC if I hear unusual harddrive activity. You really don't need much of all that antivirus stuff if you just use your head. And virusscanners that ask a massive annual fee are mega-ripoffs.
Maquissar
Kerio Firewall (downloadable FREE from the Internet - well, at last the basic version), and Trendmicro's Online Virus scanner... which is also free.
Marxist ßastard
Wow... So many chumps using Norton products... I use Avast Antivirus and Sygate Personal Firewall; the former is from Alwil Software, a Czech entry, while the latter is from (Guess) Sygate. The personal versions of both applications are freeware, with optional registration.

Baphomet
I use Sygate Personal Firewall with Grisoft's AVG antivirus scanner. They're both free and have served me well for a long time. I was a "Norton guy" too for a long time, but not anymore.
Mojlnir
I used to use Norton, but after I built my latest computer I purchased McAfee Firewall and Internet Security (it was on sale!!) and installed it. I have not had any problems, and I love watching port scans bounce off my firewall. The barking can get a little annoying and it won't let out anything with my name on it (if I email a term paper with my name on it to myself to print off at school, it deletes my name) and it can be over protective as well...though that may not be such a bad thing...given all the idiots who insist on opening mysterious attachments and infecting themselves with viruses and worms. Anyway, McAfee works great for me!
