Second SSE's Creation Kit opened endlessly logs the warning: ires==0

Anyone knows how to solve the problem in the title?

I set the config to allow me to open multiple editors but when I try to do that the Warnings window logs that "ires==0" endlessly even before trying to open any data. I waited till 500k+. My system also seems to experience a hard time while that happens and it kind of looks like that Warnings window is somehow shared because it disappears from the first editor when it does that.

Thanks.

Sorry for the bump but really I'm the only one ever seeing this?

I tryed running as administrator, I tryed running once as normal (non admin) user and once as admin and there was the same result.

EDIT: reinstalled CK and still the same

Same thing happens to me. I'm guessing it has something to do with the windows being Flash-driven. If the 2nd one does eventually load, it moves incredibly slow.

Your best option will probably be to see if you can run the CK on a 2nd PC. Even if it's not good enough to run the game itself, as long as it can run the CK. I know not everyone has older unused outdated laptops just lying around.....

  • 2 weeks later...

I am having the same thing happen when I try to open an armor nif file that is giving me problems. I can open the Creation Kit normally but when I open the esp with this piece of armor in it, it stops working. I have the errors turned off and that may be why I'm not seeing that message. When I just open the nif using Creation Kit, it usually displays about 20 lines of something like "this functor is supposed to run on offline mode", which I just ignore. Using this with the nif in question, Creation Kit takes 30 seconds or so to start displaying the list of "ires==0". I let it get to over 50000 of them before I closed the Kit.

My esp file loaded in Creation Kit earlier today before I installed this armor so it may be a .nif or a texture causing the problem. I am playing Skyrim SE. I tried using the Nif Optimizer and changed the textures from DC3 to DC5, but it didn't help. In the game I get a whole bunch of grey triangles extending out from the armor which almost blocks your vision. I've had this happen on other ports from Skyrim mods and in Fallout 4, but I have never learned how to correct it.

I just tried some other nif files that were OK and they are all doing the same thing now.
