Lost Script folder from Skyrim Data Folder

Since the last update I'm not sure if it was CK or Skyrim itself but I've lost the use of the "New Script" option in CK. Had a look in the Data folder and fold that a lot of the scripts were stripped out especially the ones I created. Have tried a number of things but none have worked so I'm here to get a more -

 

"Dummed Down Version"

 

of what I can do beside uninstalling the game. To create a clean install. Not even sure if that will fix the scripting problem. Game scripts work okay but the ones I've been trying to create wont get pass the error message:

 

"The extends script does not exist, please pick one that does"

 

This only happen after the UPDate. [That's what happens when you take your eye off the ball, you end up with a lot of pain and dead end trying to find a solution to something that may be only just a click and download away, also not willing to read the FINE PRINT in any new update goes along with all of the above :wallbash: ]

 

Other Problem also with CK is the

 

Preveiw Head only shows "Eyes and Mouth" any idea there?

The latest update of the Creation Kit (a couple years ago) saw the creation of a scripts.rar file in your data folder. Simply extract that folder in its current location and you will have all of the stock source scripts available to you at "Data > Scripts > Source" Unless you are referring to SSE and then the location would be "Data > Source > Scripts"

Thanks Ish for the heads Up didn't finda script.rar file in my Skyrim folder or the Data folder. I did find a Rar in the SkyrimSE actually where you said it should be in the Old Skyrim. Would that do? Just drop this RaR file into the Original Skyrim Folder and unpack it there. I can't see that working but I thought I'd ask anyway.

 

So now I'm on the hunt for the Original Skyrim Script.rar file, any direction will be much appreciated and once again thanks Ishara your suggestion and advice throughout this forum is much appreciated. Thanks

Validate or verify your Creation Kit files through Steam and it should be restored.

 

Technically, it is possible to back port the SSE source scripts. However, I would not use the SSE source scripts with original Skyrim. Simply because I do not know what changes they may have made at the individual script level.
