OberonFK
HI! I don't use forums too much so tell me if I did something wrong :smile:My issue may not seem like that big of an issue, but for me it's game-breaking and makes me want to pull out my hair in frustration. My issue is that I recently experienced a massive fps drop and I have NO IDEA WHY. I was using the Sjel Blad castle mod, and was getting around 60-70 fps, then I went into the hall of ascension (check out the mod for a description, he puts it better than I ever could: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2620/?) and used it to super buff my character. I added a ton of combat regen and movement speed multipliers as well as increased my one-handed from like 86 to 100 (archery character, needed some close range). The thing is, when you do a single buff to your character, you get this wind/fire effect, sort of like when you absorb a dragon soul. So since I upgraded my character about 300 times, I got the effect to the MAX, and it being on screen caused me to drop to 5 fps. After the effect vanished, however, my fps ended up stabilizing at around 40 fps, which is way lower than usual. (the effect also happens whenever you load a save with a buffed character) I uninstalled Sjel Blad, but nothing changed; I still get the effect when loading a save, and as far as I know I still have the buffs...and my fps still never goes above 40 unless I'm in the menu or the map. ANYTHING YOU ARE WONDERING I WILL HAPPILY ANSWER HELP Load Order (let me know if you can't see it....I'll see what I can do):
gromulos
Ok, first of all, unless you reinstall that mod you removed, time to start a new character / play through You NEVER remove any mod until you are done playing that character, it will break your saves every single time I have proven this to many people by showing them the save in Wrye bash Secondly, why would you use such a mod when it is clearly a game breaker from an Immersive view point, a mod like that should be in the Cheats or God items section if you ask me. Maybe the player home itself is nice, but any mod that buffs your character like that spoils the game play Edited April 2, 2017 by gromulos

Also, I see your point with uninstalling, but I have never had an issue with it, regardless of what people have told me. I'm not new to modding. My only solution that I see would be reinstalling the mod and reloading from a save previous to when I screwed everything, but that would put me a few hours behind, and in those few hours I did quite a bit....so I will do it as a last resort, but I'm not overly enthusiastic about it... Real help please? Edited April 3, 2017 by OberonFK

As I said, you have broken your saves, This is obvious because you yourself stated that when you load a save the effect is still there. In other words the effect is "baked" into your save and the only 2 ways to remove it is to either reload a save before the effect was there or start a new character. Not trying to argue with you just pointing out the facts is all.

So I'm not down for restarting, do you think that I could fix it by reinstalling and reloading to a previous save?

Check the save in Wrye that you're going to use under the saves tab and it will tell you EXACTLY what mods you need to reinstall to fix that save :)
