matortheeternal
I had abnother question: So far I am just merging things like loose gear mods, patches, companions, sound files, et al. Will this work for more complex things like quest mods? For example, could I merge the esps for my Someguy2000 quests (New Vegas Bounties I & II, The Inheritance, and King of the Ring)? It can, but doing so is not recommended. You should only merge plugins as is necessary to reduce the ESP count below game limits.
irswat
Wow! When I tried before it didn't work, but thanks!
dubiousintent
For those curious to try "Mator Smash" but are daunted by the lack of settings for FNV, I've created a "Quick Start" article in the wiki after plowing through the threads on STEP and AFKMods. However, this is still "experimental" in nature and something only for those willing to invest some time in reporting bugs to help it's development. -Dubious- Edited April 8, 2017 by dubiousintent
Mktavish
Ya my two cents is ... there will never be an easy fixall for merges ... simply because the possibilities are to great.Short of a mod that only does mele weapons being merged with a mod only doing bullet weapons merged with a mod only doing energy weapons ... but is still subject to the individual modder who might have not followed an agree'd upon mode of modding. Short story ... if you want to merge mods , you have to dig into them and see what they do ... which is pretty easy with the x-edit tool to point you in the direction of where to look in geck.
