gsmanners
Skyrim really lends itself well to assassins and thieves. You really have to role play those if you want to get the most out of it.
Jupitus
Assasin/Thief - light armor, bow, one hand, sneak is what I am currently playing and its gotten kind of boring where combat is concerned being mostly one shot bow and one handed kills from sneak but it is fun to roleplay.Battlemage - heavy armor, one hand, destruction, restoration, might be to your liking, it was definitely a challenge for me and exciting where combat is concerned as destruction is underpowered, the rolepaying part of it wasnt as fun though IMO. chanchan05
Or if you really just want to play with a build in mind, you could go Jedi type battle mage! One hand swords (maybe get the Magicka Light Sabers mod), Illusion, Alteration, Restoration magic and Speechcraft! :)) Wear robes or armor depending on your liking (I mean while Jedi generally wear robes, Darth Vader was sort of armored anyway). Lhamaria
I'm too tired to read all posts right now. Sorry about that. But if you want my advice. Warrior. Heavy armor, block, one-handed (for obvious reasons), smithing, enchanting and alteration (to get the magicka resistance perk maxed). Then just enchant your gear to get as high resistance you can get to magicka, but especially fire, frost and shock. Enchant the rest of the stuff with hp, hp recovery. And whats left over to whatever you feel necessary. Enchant weapon with soul trap for 2 sec (just in case) and absorb health. (carrying asuras star/black star makes things easier) So far with this build I have never once been close to half-dead (for obvious reasons). Another option is to dualwield and forget about hp/stamina and just stack one-handed damage. More or less one-shotted Alduin with a power-attack like that. ProjectVRD
ok, im just gonna play..... *rolls D6* *3* Warrior It's a good choice when you are advanced in the skill level and perk tree's. You can become virtually invincible. You need to concentrate on Heavy/Light Armor, pick one so you get the rating up and then go and choose the other variant as the Skyrim world is already filled with powerful beasts etc, it reinstroduces a challenge to playing Skyrim. One-Handed and Two-Handed, again concentrate on one of them until you hit level 100 then again go and choose the other. You will be hard pressed if you hit 100 in both weapons and armor and so change over at approx the same time. The game will be a massive challenge. Block, self explanetory really, Smithing and Enchanting are also highly recommended. Now a lot of people say build up Restoration. Personally I haven't. My Restoration level is about 35 or something and my Magica is 150. I just accepted that I would die a lot until I was a strong warrior. Now I am at the stage where I am glad I didn't use up my skill advances and perks on magic because I can easily take on 5 or 6 Giants in one go even in armour without enchantments. With enchantments... I downloaded Wars In Skyrim Dark Ages mod and I seem to be handling myself pretty well. I do die now and then when overpowered by loads of wizards, dragon's etc but my point remains... I dedicate virtually nothing to magika and used all my perks allowances on warrior based skills. MrBuio
ok, im just gonna play..... *rolls D6* *3*Warrior So sword & board, dual-wield or two-handed warrior? Or maybe the flexible switcher warrior (also the most perk-expensive one)? As you wrote block in your original post, I guess it rules out dual-wield. Moredhel
no Paladin? Paladin = Heavy Armor,Block,One Hand,Restoration,Speech(not a must but nice to role play),Alteration, some Conjuration, Race = BretonI got a lvl 25 Breton Paladin with Heavy Armor, Block, One-Handed, Restoration and Smithing, only doing "good" guild's quests. I've started rp'ing his downfall last night, making him a Blackguard and stripped him off his holy gear. I've added Conjuration for the raise dead spells and sneak for just being a tad bit more evil. Also changed his appearance in showracemenu (went from a blond, blue eyed guy to a white haired, black eyed guy :P ) He now wanders the land in an ebony armorset and a cruel mace in his hand ^^ Edited February 6, 2012 by Moredhel
