Nimarus
This is, hopefuly, a simple request to fill. Now, I was looking around and couldn't find anything that fits this (Let me know if there is!). I'd like to see a display case that functions much like the Bobblehead display. It would display one (or both) wedding rings with the Holotape between them, that the spouse leaves for your character. The idea is to setup a sort of place where your character would remember their spouse. A spot for both rings would be ideal, with the Holotape in the center. Maybe throw in a few decorative items (Framed Law Diploma, the Triflag misc item, etc.), use your creativity. I'd think that many people, once losing someone precious, would want a place to store mementos to remember them by. I've tried just dropping them inside a display case and closing it, but always worry about them clipping through and losing both rings forever. That, and it's hard to decorate with them, as they tend to move around a little as the area loads. If someone does make this, I hope they will upload it to Bethesda.net so those not on PC can enjoy it too. (I use to be stuck on Playstation 4, before switching to PC, so I know very well how it feels to be left out). To all you modders out there, keep up the good work, and thanks for all the wonderful mods!
montky
@nimarusindeed, you have a lot of awesome ideas, and this is among them.did you want a 'holographic" wedding display, which holds the jewellery hovering above or on some display plinth?it can play the audio from the "love you" tape that codsworth held on to from October 23rd, 2077. to make the images holo...we may need to rope in some 360vid makers for assistance...the idea? we take an image routine of your character, perhaps utilizing the "Player Character as Mannequin" mod etc...then, we pose Nate and Nate, Nate and Nora or Nora and Nora -as its floating point, we want to be able to control the appearance of both"every-being protagonist placeholders"you put your FO4 characters in a photo, it could be family and kids, extended family photo, floating closeup of a head Marlon Brando as Jor-El style,whatever... you could take a high-res screen-cap of your characters, and photoshop that into a physical photoframe or 2D lenticular hologram or something, maybe its the only thing that survived the events of 2077 to 2290? anywho, you pose them using CBBE etc,and then make it look like they're back to back, or holding hands etc.whatever poses you want, stills, a brief live action like in Wing Commander where Blair has a Devreaux hologram in his locker, whatever you want to do in your FORPG.then, we turn them all blue and 'sparkly glowy' and hologram-em up.do your post production of them in GIMP or your image program/s,make a gif or swf or whatever, and VOILA! we then map that sprite to a transparent cylinder that sits on top of this"holo-vid player"/"holo-frame" and shrine, and you can remember your partner in style... Or, you know, you could download Kesabelus's awesome mod, along with "Brady Bunch FO4",and you could like, cheat death and have your whole family, and everyone in V111 cryo, survive 2077.some of the lucky ones... vault-tec kinda worked out, for them.retrieving your loved ones from Dr Stanislaus Braun's "Tranquility Lane"... all that would make a shrine to your family somewhat redundant.Still, on console, the Sole Survivor's home is the only unrestored settlement.they wanted it to stand as a shrine to those who fell, and to remember the family they lost.in that continuity, Sole Survivor was unable to talk reason into The Institute, they lost shaun twice over again... in the emptied, damaged bedroom, is a hologram of Shaun from the day of the War.the bedroom features some holograms too.Codsworth does not need a hologram, yet, as he was there then, and is the tour guide providing the tour. -----I hope that gives you some ideas, and I will definitely supporteven if I'm not able to make the ultimate version of this, and my personal Mod-Fu in FO4 is not strong. damanding
I really like this idea a lot. I'll add it to my list of stuff to make in Creative Clutter (which is already on bethnet for xbox users!). It'll probably be a month or so before we do another update as a number of us are distracted with other mod projects at the moment. If you want to make sure I remember, please add the request on our request page here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20782/?tab=5&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D20782%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D5194055&pUp=1 Thanks for the great suggestion! Nimarus
A display Plinth sounds great. Maybe some way of placing the ring on something like a ring display (Google Image Search "Ring Display" for some examples for inspiration). I like the idea of being able to play the holotape through the display, sounds like a nice touch.
damanding
Just an FYI, Montky's additional suggestions are way beyond advanced technical skills. I don't know a single mod author with the skills to pull that off and I'm friends with a lot of extremely skilled mod authors. So if you have completely unrealistic expectations you'll be disappointed. I work with mashing together existing vanilla content. I have no interest or intention in spending the next 2 years learning multiple advanced skillsets to do what Montky suggests just to make something like this. That's sheer insanity. AuroraMoon
I like this idea. The wedding rings are just sitting there in my inventory. I thought about giving one of them to the companions I romanced, but it seems a tad too morbid to give them my dead husband's ring. so setting it up as an memorial shrine type thing would be the perfect solution to this problem. something we can craft in build mode, and then hang up on the wall.
