Magic Questions

Hi!

I find the magic system pretty... sub-optimal. Maybe you can answer some questions for me:

1) Is there a way to find out what a spell actually does? Especially once I have already bought it for me (but for example can't cast it yet, or don't see anything happening)?

2) The list gets too long - is there - apart from hotkeys - a way of scrolling through my spell list faster? Casting in melee combat is difficult enough. But casting while first having to scroll through 30+ spells, many of which are just different power level effects...

3) Do effects stack? Does a 5-point 'shield' effect and a 15-point effect give me 20? Do 'shield' and 'sanctuary' stack?

Thanks for the help!

Almelexia, we have mods and a report function for a reason. Please use it instead of making mod posts yourself.

On topic:

1) Ingame, no, not beyond the spell description it gives you. But look around here for a similar thread, I posted a link to a full list of all the spell effects.

2) Nope. Hotkeys is the best you're going to get. Though you could always open the character screen (pausing the game) and pick your spell from the list that way. Not sure if that's a better method than hotkeying the useful spells...

3) Yes.

No no no, mod = moderator. Someone made a pointless post and Almelexia posted "that's spam", an equally pointless reply. So I deleted both of them.

Generally, the term 'mod' can mean:

1) modification - which is a modification to the game, whether adding or subtracting some effect or object

2) moderator - which is someone that oversees and operates a forum, on occassion deleting a post, locking a thread or yelling at someone else for breaking a rule

In this case, the term was used to denote a moderator.

Back on topic, since I'm awesome: You can easily delete spells by ctrl+clicking on the spell. Delete the spells you don't need, and that will help you immensely.
