ProtoTypeRaavyn
In 3DS all the pieces of my mesh are attached as one but if I open the export in Nifskope I am getting 2 BSTriShapes, which is really bad because I can't texture it as 2 meshes. Is there a way to merge BSTrishapes in Nifskope? I am not sure what all info you guys would need as to workflow or export settings, or the suchness. NicotineCaffeine
It's not 3ds 2017, it's something that does nifskope exporter. At least, it happens to me as well, but only when i export with nifskope. But you could avoid the problem if you attach two meshes before skinning them (at least, for me it works). crazylion
The exporter sort your mesh (regardless if it is one piece or not) after the assigned material. Every single material class will be a separate Shape in nif So before you export make sure you assign one material ID to every surface. That will solve the issue CL Edit: This is particular useful for body meshes to avoid seams through normal mapping (you do not need to split up the mesh inside max just ably a different material id to the required body parts) Edited April 14, 2017 by crazylion
