documn
Is there anybody in the community willing to make and maintain a non-sexy armor list for Skyrim, similar to Eshenaleros's list for Oblivion?
Judasace
Is there anybody in the community willing to make and maintain a non-sexy armor list for Skyrim, similar to Eshenaleros's list for Oblivion? You'd have to define sexy...I, for one, find the vanilla Nightingale armor 1000 times more sexy than a stormcloak curiass with the chest and crotch cut out, but only the latter would be labled as "sexy" So some kind of criteria would be needed...like "no graphic nudity" or "no chainmail bikinis" or some such. Zazulio
How about something that doesn't have the crotch and chest cut out for starters, Judas? Do you even really need to ask whether "chainmail bikinis" and armor with the chest and crotch cut out qualifies as "sexy armor?" I'm with the OP, here. I know big-tittied naked anime girl mods are popular here on the nexus, but I don't go for that crap. I'd like to see a compilation of believable, lore-friendly, functional-looking armors and weapons for both males AND females released, to help me find the things I'm looking for. cire992
I second this, actually I had bookmarked a bunch of armors on my other computer that stood out to me the other day. I should go through that, could be a good starting point. My criteria: 1. No beach-babe armors. Chainmail bikinis, skimpy outfits, nudity, that sort of thing. Just looks goofy to me, especially when you're on a glacier or something.2. Male and Female variants. Or at the very least find a worthy substitute for a missing gender.3. No special body mods required. 4. Lore Friendly. Doesn't have to be totally lore accurate, just needs to fit in. I'll look into this tonight. Blu02
Same here. How about we all help creating this list? Post any armors and clothes that doesnt make your character look like a prostitute, and let OP edit the first post with a list. If the current OP doesnt want to, then someone else could start a thread about it. I'll have to return later tonight with my findings. Got to go out and get me some ridiculous amounts of snacks for CK-NIGHT first! Edited February 7, 2012 by Mr. Bravo
cire992
I've got some down time right now, so I just started combing through the armor section. My findings so far: Lore Friendly Armor Pack - Half a dozen lore friendly, balanced and fully integrated armor sets.Perfect Legionnaire - Replaces either imperial light or studded armor with a remake of Morrowind's legion armor.Prometheus Capes - As the name suggests, they come in different colors. Haven't tried it myself, yet.Crown Helmets - Crown-style helmets to go with some of the vanilla armors.Dark Follower Armor - An assassiney-magey style armor.Scout Armor - Hard to describe, look at the pictures. A bit fancy, but fits with the style of the game.Dragon Priests Armor - One of a kind, has some minor kinks to work out.Witchplate - Good for a battlemage or spellsword, a little garish, but still lore friendly by my standards.Steel Heater Shield - Name says it all, I could see someone throwing all sorts of textures on it, too.Prometheus Imperial Winter Heavy Armor - I actually like this better than the default imperial armor. Just fits better.Barbarian Armor - Not to be confused with the Barbarian Armor from the Lore Friendly Armor Pack.Knights of the Nine Armor - Armor set based on the Knights of the Nine from the Oblivion dlc.Hartherz Armor Set - Best way I could describe it is armored mage robes. Looks good.Dragonborn Armor V2 - Designed to look exactly like the guy from the trailers.Viking Helmet - Pretty simple. A craft-able viking styled helmet.DragonIron Armor - Heavy-duty nordic iron armor. Very cool, fits right in.Redguard Shield - This shield has a very Persian quality to it, seems to very much in line with the designs for the S'Alkair guys. That's all I found in the main armor section, everything else doesn't meet the 4 criteria I listed in my previous post or isn't a standalone armor. Mostly the latter.
