Stealth45Slayer
I'm familiar with that problem - having done it myself. The record is rather easily found in Whiterun Market, isn't it! The answer is, just keep hold of the early-acquired Record, and when the quest arrives to get it, simply stand by the well and console the Record into your inventory. The ghost scene should play out as normal after that. Hope that helps.Do you know the item code for that Record ( Record 1R25 ) cause this sh** also happened to me... Jenna1931
I'm a little (a lot) new in the mods universe. I've installed Recorder mod not long ago and I did the files reserch and, well, completed the quest. But now, the records are still in my inventory locked as quest items... Is there an other part of the quest that allowes me to get rid of the records, or is it a bug ? I can't just "trade something" with Recorder and give it back to her... Please help !
jeedge
I hated that quest in a way, since I have Open Cities. With Open Cities, the third log in Whiterun will not show up on the well. Luckily, Arthmoor created special "rocks" to trigger in order to load in the "alternative" Whiterun to fix quest issues with other mods not patching OC. So when I did that, there it was sitting on the well. Finding the open cities special rocks in Whiterun was, in itself, a bit of a chore - but they are both located INSIDE the city, not outside the gate. Anyway, probably not your issue but it might help some others pulling their hair out trying to find the 3rd record in Whiterun. lol

Grospolina
How do I console the record into inventory? You could instead install Recorder - Bugfix Patch SE. I put in special dialogue options to fix the situation where you picked up the record too early. Read the description page to find out how. it also fixes a number of other annoying bugs in Recorder. There's also an Open Cities compatibility patch, as well as a JK's Skyrim compatibility patch.
