tyrantcv
So newbie modder here, but should I uninstall any or all of the mods i have in the game before installing the the high res pack in skyrim? or will it overwrite any texture mods i have already installed? i have a backup of my data file i can restore too if needed but i like some of the mods and im using dovahkiin hideout and dont want to use all the loot i have stashed there. any info is greatly appreciated! and have fun with creation kit! Varta
The HD Texture Pack is in .bsa format hooked to use by an .esp, so any texture mods you already have should override it, if I'm not mistaken.
tyrantcv
well i understand the .esp will overwrite the high res pack, but i was wondering too about things like texture packs that i just install like enhanced night sky or sexy whterun. QuickFox
The high-res pack acts like a mod, so it will override any texture mods that DONT have an .esp; for example, replacer mods will now need to have an .esp file that adds the new textures to the armature references, and it will have to the AFTER the HD texture packs in the mod load order.
