KMA
Was this announced, or did Beth just try to screw texture modders over by releasing content that they knew they we were working on? I was just about to release my total Texture Upgrade pack and now I have to analyze these new ones, pushing my release back another few weeks. After four months of work (three was part-time, and the last was full-time), this could mean that I have to re-do 100+ hours of work. If I just missed a press release, then it is my fault and perversely that is not so bad. If this was a 'surprise', then Beth has really taken a leak on the modding community with this. Cheers, 4Aces

Cheers, 4Aces You'll have to pack your textures into an esp file and then put it below the HD pack esp files in NMM so that you can override the new official HD pack. Bethesda's HD pack's terrible, so don't worry about ruining their work. ;)
KMA
You'll have to pack your textures into an esp file and then put it below the HD pack esp files in NMM so that you can override the new official HD pack. Bethesda's HD pack's terrible, so don't worry about ruining their work. ;) While waiting all day on the lame DL speed, I was reading about how 'woderful' they are from reviewers who obviously just pander and never test. Since the player are all saying 'meh'.As for packing, my mod was going to be packed into BSAs to replace the original anyway. So I have unpacked these, now I have to compare and upgrade (not size but quality) any that are better than the ones I already made. Then it all gets wrapped into a couple BSAs and players can remove all of theirs. I do not need ESPs. Thanks for the reply though! I have since found out there was no warning. Thepal
Technically, months and months ago (before release) there was something about the PC version getting a high-res texture pack. When it was releasd, it didn't have it, and people were annoyed. I guess they just pushed back release for SteamWorks.
grey79
Its not that terrible. I have lost maybe a few fps on my ancient system, but I've gotten a lot of higher quality textures.Though they didn't update all textures in the game.
