  1. Strange that it's no longer available on Steam. Did Atari lose the license to publish NWN2?
  2. @B1shop There's a massive community surrounding NWN2. It's just that not enough people have migrated to the Nexus, unfortunately. The community is also mostly split into servers. There are websites for servers that hold hundreds of active members. Many of those members haven't even glimpsed at the Nexus.
  3. Hi, For some reason when I create a character online on a server, it doesn't save. It may be to do with the authorization server being down, though I haven't heard of anyone else having the issue. I've got a valid account and logged in with the same details each time I logged in, but the common 'Can't Connect To Authorization Server' error appears before I get to the server browser. The Master Server can't connect either, but then I'm pretty sure that's very common. Then when I log in, I can create an account, start playing on a server, export my character, and close the game. But next time I log in and join the server, my character doesn't appear in the 'Select Character' menu. Last year, when I played the game regularly, the account system worked fine. It may be to do with Bioware completely migrating to EA and migrating servers. Does anyone know how common this issue is and is there a workaround?
  4. Lol, yeah, that advertisement should so be banned for lying to you and misleading you. If you're gonna click on something totally mature and not at all perverted, you should get what the link says. Lol.
  5. Hi, Dark0ne, or any of the other admins. You forgot to add the Neverwinter Nexus to the forum 'Network' lists on profiles and on the 'Nexus Network' drop-down menu on each site. Figured it'd be better to post it here rather than pming you since it's not really urgent. :)
  6. I was just wondering. The wilderness of Skyrim is set up as about a hundred cells all linked together. Following this concept, would it be possible, theoretically, to LINK together multiple cells, as in... an interior to an exterior? This way, it could be possible to have realtime windows and doors.
  7. irolltwenties Gives you massive stat boosts, an awesome sword, and stops you levelling. God enough for you?
  8. Plus, I can't remember the exact command, but I recall there's a command that gives you not only an insanely powerful sword, but an insanely powerful katana that boosts your stats by crazy amounts. So it doesn't just do a lot of damage, it gives you enough stats to do A LOT of damage with it. And it's vanilla, so I don't understand why you would even need any new 'god items'. Plus there's all of those DM commands, influence commands, etc...
  9. Well, you also have to consider the fact that teenagers my age(I'm a lot more mature though) would just set themselves to see adult content anyway. The whole 'adult content' argument's stupid anyway because if you want to avoid it, it's not hard to click another link on the page and navigate away within seconds. Unless a kid's parents are total and utter retards, it doesn't really matter.
  10. Actually, Skyrim can safely compete with NWN's wide range of stories and gaming options following the release of the Creation Kit. However, the NWN series is still one of the greatest series' ever developed and due to it's unique gameplay, it can easily be purchased either alongside or competitively with Skyrim. The NWN series also offers more moral options than any other game I've yet seen, safely competing with even the Fable series*. * = Although tbh, that's not that hard due to Fable's being more linear than claimed, but that's an argument for another time...
  11. Hi, I just noticed Campaigns are all being combined into the same category as all other 'Modules'. I'd like to suggest an ammendment to this. Though it would have course be even better if modules were split up into 4 or 5 categories, I instead suggest that you split the 'Modules' category up into two seperate categories: Standalone Modules Full Campaigns. I suggest this as it's not really accurate to call an entire Campaign a 'Module' due to the fact that all Campaigns are made up of multiple 'Modules' and are not actually 'Modules' themselves. It would also allow users to find their preferred module type more easily. For example, if I wanted to play the game quickly and just needed a short entertaining module to play, I could then easily browse the 'Standalone Modules' category. If I wanted to play the game for a long term and needed a story-driven or open-world full out campaign, I could then easily browse the 'Full Campaigns' category. Just a suggestion that would both improve the accuracy of the category titles and improve user experience of the site.
  12. Ah I see. Does this mean that if there's no image set as the 'Front Image' or whatever it is, it won't appear in Latest Files? Or are images auto-detected regardless of whether they're set up as the Front Image?
  13. Kinda off topic but... There are programming projects working on extending the capabilities of the Auto-Downloader to work with SP projects?! This would increase the mod community's activitity amazingly and get so many more downloads for mods! I've actually been put off a lot of mods myself because of the task of downloading them and then updates manually. Having an Auto-Downloader would be awesome, although the NMM is supposed to support NW eventually anyway I think.
  14. Isn't it some type of casual Facebook-type MMO? Not interested in MMOs. Yes it's an online game, but you can mod the game, the game will have a creation kit with it, though im not sure if the uploading will be possible beyond the game itself though. More info: http://www.playnever...out_neverwinter Does'nt look like you can share mods beyond the game, but we don't know that for sure yet, but you can play the game singleplayer if you want to. Did you not see the news that said it's going to be a F2P MMO? It's going to become a Champions Online clone, but somehow maybe in the Neverwinter style. Basically, nobody should be interested. I suppose if they do allow external mod uploads, it would make sense for them to be hosted on the Nexus though. If so, I'd welcome the extra mods, especially since Neverwinter's gonna be free. :P
  15. Hi, Just wanted to point out that the Neverwinter Nexus has stopped showing 'Latest Files' correctly. There have been about 3 or 4 modules released since the last mod shown in 'Latest Files' and not one of them is showing as a new file. You probably already knew about this but figured I'd point out just incase. It's not really a major issue though. Thanks, Jaz.
  16. Its almost scary. It seems like all you need is to have some medium to big sized modding community start a thread in some corner of the internets about what they'll do with their mods for Dark0ne to appear between the shadows with the siren song of "Hi. Do you know about... the Nexus?". Actually, the modding community came to Dark0ne. Dark0ne never goes to others. They come to him.
  17. @Natterforme I don't think Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale were very easily modded though it was possible. Pretty much the only mods are a few major overhauls. That would nowhere near fill up the 10-20 categories for each game. Though if they were combined, this site would have to be renamed to ForgottenRealmsNexus of course. :)
  18. The NWN community can do better than this! There's only about 20 mods on the Nexus so far! Just kidding, I know you guys'll eventually wake up and upload those thousands of mods to the Nexus. ;) NWN1 and 2 are amazing games. I stopped playing for ages because I began to despise the Vault's site design and refused to download mods anymore. But now I can finally get all of those mods I missed such as 'Path of Evil', which I actually beta-tested ages ago but didn't get the full version of...
  19. It probably is actually. Why: Same Name - NeilMcSame Career - Texture ArtistSame Level of Grammar - BrilliantSame/Higher Level of Texturing Skill - Amazing
  20. DMFI (not DWFI) is Dungeon Master-Friendly Initiative. Mods that follow guidelines to make them easy to be run as multiplayer sessions with a DM presiding. CEP is Community Expansion Pack. It's a mod for NWN1. I think it just adds loads of objects for builders to use. I've seen it but I've only downloaded it once and didn't really need it. I have no idea what ADL is. A phone line provider? :P
  21. http://sourceforge.net/projects/nwshader/files/ http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=hakpaks.Detail&id=7848 I don't have NWN1 atm because my brother's being stubborn and refusing to let me borrow it but these mods look very promising. ;)
  22. Have you ever played NWN1? Strangely Bioware seems to think prostitution isn't 'adult'. Unless I just need to check the age rating again...
  23. There are loads of great mods on the Vault. Unfortunately, as you're probably already aware, most of the Hall of Fame mods are no longer updated due to the modders having left the community. Can anyone actually still contact some of the inactive modders and get them to reupload their mods on the Nexus? Just wondering because it'd be great to have all of the old mods back up on the Nexus. I especially want this mod to be reuploaded on the Nexus: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Textures.Detail&id=28
  24. Yeah, I dunno how Persistant Worlds could be fitted in on the Nexus, seeing as how the Nexus doesn't allow files to be uploaded without uh... files. These tags look awesome though. They'd be perfect for searching for NWN files seeing as how it's the same kind of template that the Vault uses for tags. :P
  25. This is actually quite interesting. Details seem to be completely anonymous so I'm not worried about that. I'm very interested to see that for some reason more people are using an OLD version of Firefox than the NEW version. o.O
