SeanTwig
Ok, so for the past couple weeks I have been following the release of the CK more than Diablo 3. When it was released I was overjoyed! I have been wanting to get into modding for a while now and thought that the CK would be the perfect place to start. WRONG! I watched the 3 Beth tutorials on the CK and tried to open up the masterfile like it says in the tutorial. Step by step. And I get an error... MASTERFILE: LOCALIZATION: Lookup failed for ID: 0x00012584 from strings file: STRINGS/Skyrim_ENGLISH.DLSTRINGS "Yes to all" will disable all Warnings for this context. I did some research and it seems that this is not an uncommon problem. Many people are saying that it doesn't work for the German or Italian versions of the game. But I am running the English version. Hmmm... Doesn't look good so far Beth. It's day one! If anyone has had this problem and has found a solve for it it PLEASE tell me! I really want to dig into this. I have SOOO many ideas for mods and they were all slashed a few minutes ago -__- Sean
luthienanarion
Just hit 'Yes to All' and it will continue loading. There isn't actually a problem.

You can click them forever and it just keeps going."No" - - - > Click this and you get asked whether you are sure you would like to close the program."Yes to all" - - - > Takes forever to load files. And I mean FOREVER! What I don't get is that in the tutorials it all ran so smoothly. No errors nothing.
ChochoFr
@ SeanTwig Found on bethesda forum ! "Look for the SkyrimEditor.ini in your skyrim folders. under the option [General] just add the following line: sLanguage=GERMAN (or your specific language version ... you can copy this line from your skyrim.ini or skyrim_default.ini). that should eliminate the localization-lookup errors. it worked for me. hope that helps" bye

H3xx
Mine is a different problem, but still a creation kit error. I opened steam, went to the tools menu in the steam library and installed the ck. Now, it is completely installed and ready to play according to steam, however. I'll click on it, I'll get the usual "preparing to launch" notification, but once that goes away, nothing. I've reinstalled a few times and even validated the files, but it simply refuses to launch. I cant even find the system files for it. Any ideas? Edit: Ok, I realized that I'm a bit of an idiot, and that the install files are in the skyrim folder itself, but it still won't launch. Edit: Ok, I did a little digging around, and found it was a directx error. I reinstalled the latest directx and it works now. If anyone is having the same issue, then try updating directx.
