JagMaker
Hello)i'm trying to make river, which inclided for 10-12 degrees., for this needs to little rotate water flat and copy-paste it for full river lenght. i know, i can merge water flat by changing xyz coordinates, but i'm looking some another way., because it will be long river, and to connect it manualy will turn to the hell.. is there some way to connect water flat (sqare) with same water flat?) chucksteel
Place as many as you need and use the snap to grid to connect them all getting them properly aligned. Then try using Ctrl + O to create a Static Collection. (I'm not 100% sure if placable water will work in an SCOL). If it does work you can then position them as one big mesh, you can even scale them all together without breaking their connections. After you get them in place you then use Ctrl + U to break them back up into individual tiles. If they don't combine into a SCOL then you could try selecting them all and using Ctrl + G to group them. Groups will be individual tiles but you can move them all together. You'll probably need to use the Rotation Gizmo if you want a slope like the water is running down Hill. Hope that helps.
JagMaker
sure it helps, thank u)so, as i understand i need to connect two flats, group em, duplicate, connect two groups, duplicate etc., then to incline all this water snake for few degrees and yes, it will be ideal:)ty a lot)
greekrage
A big help is NOT rotating or move your first piece when you place it if you want to group many together.. What i mean is that when you place an object from the object menu it sits down facing north for example. Now if you want to stick another piece to it you can simply duplicate the placed one and then move it with the X and C keys (left right back and forth etc. ) .This allows for very easy alignment of the pieces even without them snapping. This also helps if you want to tilt the pieces. When you rotate a piece away from its initial placement then tilting becomes a real pain since it still tilts in only that "center" against the true north . So if you have rotated it...and try to tilt...it wont go the way you want it to. One thing that helps sometimes is duplicating that piece and selecting both pieces (the one you want to actually tilt with the dummy duplicate) and this allows for better linear movement. ( this also applies to rotating a tilted piece ) Also to clear something up.. You CANT scol water because they arent static objects ( they are resources as well ) but you CAN make a packin with them . JagMaker
have make it manually, by scaling water flat 10x and using snap to grid., sure, it's not ideal, but there no visible deffects)btw have tried to increase water sqare with nifscope, 10 times more, but it's not working too, cause nifscope don't see water collision

JagMaker
no, it's really ok, animations have connect too., but again, it's manual milimetronic work, long way..and i thought there is some 'connect this water flat to another water flat' button which helps) http://savepic.ru/13665407.png
