luddemann
Ok, I just looked at some lore and stuff and I came upon this on UESPwiki on the hammerfell page. Look at this: "Dragonstar is a city-state in Hammerfell, just south of the border with High Rock and Skyrim. The city was once home to a gladiatorial team known as the Sacred Rage. During the War of Bend'r-mahk, the forces of Skyrim advanced into Hammerfell and besieged the city. The situation has persisted to at least 3E 432.The city is divided into western and eastern sections, walled off from each other, each with their own government. Dragonstar East is still under the control of Hammerfell, while Dragonstar West is predominated by Skyrim. An atmosphere of deep mutual distrust prevails between the two sides. The city has an arena pit, a prison and guild halls for the Mages Guild, Fighters Guild and Thieves Guild. Shadowgates can also be found in the city." Here´s the reasons why it should be a DLC if you didnt think it out for urself:1) The name is Dragonstar, why has it got that name? Is it something to do with the dragons, or even better, dragonborns?2) Apart of it is owned by skyrim, therefor it IS skyrim. When elderscrolls VI comes out, we should have seen everything skyrim has to offer. 3) There is a arena pit in the city, something that was sorely missed in skyrim.4) The divided city seems like a very good setting for an expansion. 5) It has guild halls. This might be negative for my arguement seeing as there was no fighters guild nor mages guild in skyrim. But it might lead to some very interesting confrontation between the companions and the fighters guild and likewise for college of winterhold and mages guild. What do you think? luddemann
Come to think of it, all of Hammerfell has gladiator pits. Even better! Another thing. Read this:"Stros M'KaiOnce the home of Crown Prince A'tor, Stros M'Kai is an important tropical island off the southern coast of Hammerfell near the Cape of the Blue Divide. Stros M'Kai is renowned for its completely steam-powered Dwemer ruins and ancient mines, including the marvelous observatory known as the Orrery." More dwemer stuff. Thats certaintly interesting for skyrim. Plus: less modelling and retexturing for bethesda :P Edited February 8, 2012 by luddemann
SubjectProphet
I never noticed this!!!! This seems like a great idea!
luddemann
Sorry spotted another interesting point:Politics Redguards are divided between the mostly Imperial cosmopolitan Redguards, and the wild desert Redguards (Some, at one time, took to biting the heels of the guards, like snakes, as part of their religious beliefs). Many of the Desert people dislike Imperial rule, and as such have been banished from the cities, for the safety of the people. Maybe these wild redgaurds was inspired my the stormcloak? Maybe they will even cooperate to bring down the empire.
SubjectProphet
Yeah, now I'm looking at it and thinking "this was set up for Skyrim DLC." I mean, it adds up completly. If this isn't Skyrim DLC, then why does the lore match it up to be that way? Kudos for you finding this :)
luddemann
That what I thought too. Its too fitting to be a coincidence.
kradus
And if Im not mistaken, part of Hammerfel is controled by the thalmor, so this would be a perfect spot for an all out confrontation.

Aladi
I could be wrong but I believe the Empire no longer controls Hammerfall after they abandoned it when the Redguards chose to continue the Great War against the Thalmor, and they were eventually able to push the Thalmor right out of Hammerfall. luddemann
Take a look at this: "Politics Redguards are divided between the mostly Imperial cosmopolitan Redguards, and the wild desert Redguards (Some, at one time, took to biting the heels of the guards, like snakes, as part of their religious beliefs).
