Werne
So I took a look at CK and I found that you can play around with character animations under Gameplay/Animations (as far as I understand). Now I'm wondering is it possible to add a completely new animation without replacing a vanilla one and assign it to only a specific weapon type (specifically spears, since I already have spear models as .blend files, I just need to make them into usable Skyrim models). I'm still missing animations but I found some one-handed spear animations on TES Nexus that "might" be converted to work with Skyrim (with author's approval of course, if he says no then I'll have to learn to make them myself). So basically my question is, does anyone know is it possible to add completely new animations to work with a specific weapon type, without replacing vanilla animations? If that's possible I'll have half of my mod finished and I'll only need animations.
MrMino
Hi,I am also trying to understand how to do this. non replacer animation files that have been placed in the games animation folder do atleast appear under the actor-preset menu animation tab where you can see it played within the geck on a character model. I just don't know how to go about creating a new 'animation set' for them In anticipation for the CK I spent last night creating a new set of animations for a pistol which replaces staffs but would like to have an entirely new set of animations for it.cheers
niagra127
Bump, because the lack of animation help is ridiculous :/ looking everywhere to figure out how to make new sets and either nobody will help or nobody knows.
Larryb11
Yeah! I wanna make animations too ! Custom block animations and maybe tweak some attack animations for better melee combat .
Werne
Well, my question is not how to make animations, though creating an animation would prove very useful as well. I know how to animate a mesh object (not the skeleton, didn't go that far) in Blender 2.61 but it doesn't support nifs and 2.49 has a lot different UI so I don't know where the buttons are . Bismarck
Of course, there is no animation tutorial in the CK wiki. Maybe at a later date?Otherwise, our best modders will sooner or later figure out how it works. We really need new animations for polearms, crossbows, shuriken and some throwing potions with nasty effects (Darklands).
StanIsTheLaw
non replacer animation files that have been placed in the games animation folder do atleast appear under the actor-preset menu animation tab where you can see it played within the geck on a character model. I just don't know how to go about creating a new 'animation set' for them Do you mean double click on the actor name, then the animation tab between sound and attack data? Because the ones I have loaded dont appear there? Checked alaphabetical order and at the end in case they were date listed. Also right clicked on actor and did preview, not there either.
