Daffywench706
Greetings and solicitations! (no, I actually meant Solicitations because I intend to solicit help at some point) I'm an old (er) gamer that actually started an interest in games with a DOS version of some Blizzard entertainment game. At least I think it was Blizzard, LOL. I moved on to Blizzard's Diablo, which, since I was going thru a divorce was especially therapeutic since it was hack and slash. Even my name hearkens back to AOL, when AOL was the go to place for chat, and my 33.3 modem was actually considered a fast connection!!! When I bought my first 56K I thought I was blazing!!! I played Diablo for several years, risking arrest from a military policeman who was investigating a bomb threat at my office. He was pushing me out the door without my laptop, and I told him there were battles on that thing that I REFUSED to fight again. Obviously he wasn't a gamer or he'd have understood. Unfortunately for me, the bomb dogs found my laptop bag verrrry interesting......... I have a long history of editing save files.........just tweaks here and there......so when I started complaining about some small gameplay issues with StarDew Valley, my son introduced me to mods. AND OH MY LORD!! Starbuck's Unicorn has nothing on the sparkles I saw that day. Age has caused an issue with my eyes that prevents me from playing the majority of new games that look so awesome but they all cause motion sickness!! Some games I can play for a little while before it's a problem but most start out immediately. Breaks my heart but what can you do?
Fkemman11
Welcome to the Nexus! About your problem with motion sickness, I have had similar problems in the past. It is a type of anxiety as far as I can tell. Best solution is to get a prescription from your doctor for it. Something to calm your nerves should do the trick. Diazepam is the best IMO. It is cheap and effective. Doctors don't like prescribing it for this reason so you might have to insist. Hope that helps.
