BlueGunk
Is it me, or are others suffering the same issue of downloading a mod, and later going back to endorse it only to be told I have not downloaded it? I use Mod Organiser, MO2, and Nexus Mod Manager to hand three different Nexus games. I have to switch between them so the correct manager downloads the mod for the game, Would this swapping about of the "default" downloaders cause my inability to endorse mods? Thanks. If it is the system and not me, then perhaps folks can please check it out?
TheVampireDante
MO downloads are not recognized on this end. So using it to DL a mod doesn't register onsite and you won't be able to endorse (because site doesn't think you've DL'd the mod).
BlueGunk
OK, thank you! I understand. I'll do a manual download to trigger the chance to endorse and that should resolve it. Thank you!
Bess
Be aware that this can happen with manual downloads, too. I have been confronted many times with not being permitted to endorse a mod I've downloaded (and that I can see sitting right there among my files on my computer) because I "haven't downloaded it". I download manually exclusively, no mod organisers. When this happens, I just download the mod again (within reason, of course: depends very much on the size) and then immediately delete this duplicate out of my download folder and endorse it as soon as the time's up. I had to do this with every single one of Unique Landscapes! It's an inconvenience, but I'd rather do that than let a good mod go unendorsed. BlueGunk
Hmm, thanks Bess. I don't think I've encountered it to that level but it's useful to know.
Bess
It's fairly infrequent and seemingly completely random, but I've been running into this for several years. It's never been a corrupt download, either: everything's normal, except that Nexus doesn't believe I've downloaded it! Just one of those "shrug and carry on" things, I guess.
