Skyrim Creation Kit *NEED HELP*

Okay so i just recently got the creation kit.. I'm new to Bethesda modding and need your help.. When you load your 'Skyrim.esm master file' at the beginning does this take the default world or what you recently edited? I'm just wondering because i modded my Proudspire Manor within the game using the console commands, and when i loaded it up in the Creation Kit it was basically all back to what it was before. I hope I'm explaining myself clear enough.. If you cant follow what I'm saying just say so! I need to know whats up with this! PLEASE HELP!

-Thanks (:

The CS will always load all unmodified data from the Skyrim.esm file. If you change something ingame via console, the only place those changes are stored is your savegame.

The default settings only change if you change the esm file itself.

For some reason, Bethesda lacked the intelligence to add an option to load console changes from save files.

So unfortunately, if you load skyrim.esm, it will load the DEFAULT regions and world-state.

If you want to mod Proudspire, it is reccommend that you check out my tutorial to reverse previous edits:

http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/556455-tutorialreversing-pre-ck-console-modding/

Basically, type in the following commands next time you're in game:

resetinterior 00016A06

reset3DState 00016A06

Get all your items out first, and go to a different region before using these commands.

The commands are also quite unstable so save before using them. They should work fairly well though.

Good luck :)

You might be able to. I have no knowledge of converting savegames though I'm afraid.

I'm all-new to modding. I created a new character using a tutorial, and then I loaded a location "MixWaterMillWorkersHouse" and put my character in it. Somehow I managed to accidentally screw up the room itself, where part of the floor is under the ground plane and too far forward. How can I restore the location to its default condition? Thanks for any help!

What does your question has to do with the topic ? Usually you make a seperate topic :) .

Alright @ lol I dunno how to do it and I'm not sure it is possible, but I do know that you DO NOT CHANGE THE SKYRIM.ESM unless you know what you are doing. This is the core game and should be left as it is. What you can do is to create an ESP file (Elder Scrolls Plugin) . Those plugins load over skyrim.esm so you don't have to change the original game. Most mods around include an ESP file that activates the changes they made in your game. You can create new ESP by clicking "save" or save into already existing ESPs by selecting them in the load window and pressing "make active". Note that you cannot just press save if you don't have an active plugin, it will create a new one. If you want to save into existing ESPs activate them and press save.

@ Anduniel - you don't save, this is the fastest way, best thing for you to do including the fact you only added a character. You can try to move the meshes to their original location . Press "snap to grid" button at your toolbar. This button allows you to move your meshes 64 units to each side instead of 1 (By default). This allows you to connect your meshes perfectly , like a Lego. Hold the object with your left mouse and move it around until you get it back where it was. Hold "z" key to change the height of the object and move it on the Z axis only. If for some reason the objects don't fit together disable "snap to grid" and toy around with it a bit.

You can force objects to the ground py pressing "F" key. This will bring your mesh to the first mesh below it, putting them on same height. It is useful to put things on the floor such as furniture.
