splifsend Posted April 23, 2017 Share Posted April 23, 2017 So I have all the settlements and with the exception of the airport they all have 24 settlers and food water ect.. In some, I may have gone over the top with the defences but I have hit a wall when I was trying to put more turrets down..So my question is - Is there a way of upcapping the limit of turrets/defence.. Does anyone know what the limits are, is it based on the overall defence of all settlements, or the overall amount of turrets in all the settlements? Ethreon Posted April 23, 2017 Share Posted April 23, 2017 Your UI value is unimportant past 100. The scripts in place only take into account up to a certain value, and I'm pretty sure it's 100. ibldedibble Posted April 24, 2017 Share Posted April 24, 2017 ok this is strange, I just lowered tenpines defence to 4 and now I can add more defence to zimonja and have made it up to 124, so there must be and overall for all of the commonwealth I just built a huge amount of turrets in Sanctuary (just above 200, the UI cap for defense is at 999 so you can't tell I have a few more, but they're there). The only thing that stopped me from building any more was the settlement cap, which I haven't removed on this file. After this I then built another 70 or so in Red Rocket before I hit the settlement cap there. So no, there's no cap for the number of turrets you can build, what I think is happening is that you're reaching your settlement caps. Look at the "SIZE" indicator in the top right corner.
