How do i change a weapons attack speed...

Using the creation kit, or by other means?

 

Quite honestly, i love The Rueful Axe, but it's attack speed is so damn slow. How do I change it to the of a regular axe? And for that matter, how do i increase the damage, I won't increase by much, just a little.

It's slow because it's a 2-hand axe, and it's only .1 slower than a Daedric Warhammer.

 

Open up the DA03RuefulAxe found in items>weapon>weapons

 

Middle of the Weapon editor on the left you will see a bunch of entries under the "Game Data" tab, change the damage (default 22) and speed (default 0.5000) there.

Yeah, but it's slower then usual. 2 handed axes normally are faster then war hammers.

 

Also, could I get a more detailed explanation? Iv never used a creation kit before... This is like new teritory for me AND THERES SO MANY BUTTONS!

Okay, so the RuefulAxe is found in the Object Menu, and its Found by the name DA03RuefulAxe, Then you double click on that weapon, a menu will popup. This menu gives you full control over the weapon, what you want to do is go to the menu Labeled Game Data, its found Under the Template drop down menu. There you'll find Weight, Range, Speed. All these are important but you want to Increase the speed to something higher then its original value, do something like 1.0-1.5
