Faivon
No! It's not how you want to play combat/magic/stealth! What I am asking is how do you prefer to play Oblivion in realistic style, god style, and so on. Maybe you are a kind of gamer who likes to play the game in some realistic engine like realistic AI in Oblivion. Maybe you are the kind of hardcore RPG gamer who loves to leveling your character to the max while maintaining the original system of Oblivion (with some mods too but not changing the whole gameplay system) or maybe you just to screenshooting your characters with newly released hairstyle, armors, or clothes. I'm the kind of hardcore RPG gamer who loves to play Oblivion in original gameplay system without altering the basic gameplay too much so I think OOO mod is too much for me since it changes the original gameplay alot. I like to add a lot of new armors without overpowering my characters so mods like Shadow Ranger, Real Sword (Low stats - Some NPC sells them), Cyros Cyrodiil Armor. New environmental changes are also tolerable since they just add new buildings and so on (I tried to pick houses/building that does not offer some godly services). The leveling system I'm using is the default system which I think is good enough already. There! So how do you prefer to play your Oblivion with mods? A bit out of topic but still in topic, but can you guys recommend to me any mods that delivers a high level dungeon without any godly requirements? I already have Silgrad Tower, The Lost Spire and Lost Paladin of The Divines. I have already tried Francesco with MMM but I think they alter the basic gameplay pretty much alot too :(How about MMM alone?
Circuitous
I prefer mods that either add aesthetic changes or fit Oblivion's existing playstyle. I played with Oscuro's and other big-changes mods for about a year or so, and honestly... I'm just completely tired of them. The sheer, over-reaching umbrella Oscuro's puts over the game is draining to me. I'm tired of finding Ghostly Warriors in every dungeon I try and raid - they're a plain nuisance, like mudcrabs that scream more often and vulk over any chance at decent looting to low-level characters. For a while, I just used the console to kill any I found, but finally I just got tired of it and started a completely new character with vanilla Oblivion. I've made a few settings tweaks, I've got a good selection of mods going - no huge changes except aesthetics, like Unique Landscapes and Improved Facial Textures - and I'm now really happy with the game again. NovaUK
hardcore RPG gamer who loves to leveling your character to the max while maintaining the original system of Oblivion (with some mods too but not changing the whole gameplay system)^ That's pretty much how I play Oblivion. My mods ranged from Book Jackets, to Book Placement, to Dark UI DarNified and even a new house, but I don't have any GAMEPLAY altering tweaks. Only more aesthetic ones. PaperTiger74
I like the standard RPG playstyle. That is, trying to achive goals and progress (aka leveling). Not too much roleplaying though, I don't immerse myself that much. My mods affects mostly aesthetical aspects of the game (such as weather and lighting). I also highly enjoy mods like MMM (never play without it!). It makes the gameworld much more alive and varied. The vanilla game just feels a bit empty. Generally, the more actors the better. I use Tamriel travelers to add more NPCs to the roads. I don't use them very much, they're just fun to have around.
Stewb
i use aesthetic mods and new quests of a fairly decent size. Godly mods are a waste of time to me, if i want godliness, i type tgm :P As for more NPCs, only if i feel like a slaughter ;)
deadnerzhul
I use a variety of mods, from landscape textures and sky and water mods, to cool looking clothing and armor to fit my character's personality (I.E., Ranger (woodsman), Assassin, Knight, etc.). I might look into the mods you mentioned for more NPCs, PaperTiger, since vanilla Oblivion DOES lack people!
Tamujiin
I download Armor mods that stay at vanilla levels. no god items. i use akantosh mount cause i like to ride a dragon or wyvern ( whatever it is its cool) and mods that change stuff but keep it balanced like Midas Magic Arum ( or whatever) but i do use runeskulls ( low level ones ) to give my weapons a boost but not fricken overpowered cause of course i love cutting stuff in half with the OBSE. Most my mods are apperance changing mods like HAirs and bods and stuff. ( Exnems, with HG and high rez.) I am level 45-46 ( i am not paying attention anymore) and can still get my ass whooped. I also like Quest mods that are not bugged as F" ahem. Veronas house, Midas, Asgerd, Lost spires....ect ect ect. I use ruins tail, Cm, petshop, and red sonia for companion mods. And of course i use all real sword mods and unique landscapes, and of course Weather mods.

Maybe you are a kind of gamer who likes to play the game in some realistic engine like realistic AI in Oblivion.I enjoy playing on max difficulty but with the help of various smaller mods such as slightly better armor, weapons, and sometimes companions. I have yet to use MMM or OOO but will probably try them at some point. Anyway, so long as I still need to use every last possible resource and can still get overpowered then my game is optimized for a combination of challenge while still being able to have some fun mods. hybridfan
I play true to life, never fast travel, sleep at 11pm every night until 7am, I use mods that change it in a real life kind of fashion. Ohh but I do use Hilarity for some fun screenshots.
Iapetus
I tend to play a semi-realism game. Eating and sleeping, namely. My justification is that my character should not be completely exempt from the rules that govern the lives of the NPCs. If they have to eat, so should I.If they have to sleep, well now I actually have a reason to visit all those lovely rustic little inns along the roads. However, I don't use bathing or drinking mods.I mean, there's realism, and then there's realism.
