And.. what now?

Alright, I've killed for the Dark Brotherhood, stole from the rich in the name of the Thieves Guild, protected the people as a vigilante of the Fighters Guild and slain necromancers and vile creatures on the behalf of the Mages Guild. I've played the Storyline probably three times with different characters and skills - and all has been fun!

But now.. what now? I've tried Shivering Isles and I wasn't that impressed really, and I've played that through aswell.

Also, Knights of the Nine Divines wasn't "too" fun, but it sure kept me going for a while - but now I've run out of things to do in Oblivion.

I've never been really high level on any of my characters (as i've totally ignored to keep track of skills and such)

so maybe there's some cool content at a bit higher levels, or does it just keep on being boring with the same old menial tasks

like "kill him and get this" quests?

Do you guys have any awsome recommendations on quests or perhaps even sub-storylines?

I'm really in love with Oblivion since I started playing it like a year ago and now that i've hooked

up my PC with some nasty poo (Now I can play with 1680x1050, 4xAA and HDR!) I'd like to know

if there's anything left to do after the main content!

(Walking around cities and getting small tasks and sub-storylines to do? Yeah, done most of em.

Some I've done:

- Glarthir, the paranoid one.

- Thornir and his shop.

- Corrupted guardsman.

- Skooma raid.

- The women of Anvil that rob men of their goods.

Can't think of any more right now..

Dude how do you use HDR and AA at the same time?????!!!! cant do that in Oblivion.

Get ninja mods and have epic battles with guards who have same moves it's wicked fun.

(mods I recommend: DMC Stylish, Deadly Reflex, Amazing Jump, Seph's True Acrobatics, Sinkpoint's Martial Arts, And for cool in-menu hand to hand mode Seph's Hand to hand Animation Replacer. Motion Blur effects make everything better (I recommend 'Forward Motion Blur')

Quests mods. Never work for me. They always fall apart, are horrible, Or itll be years before I find the place where they're supposed to start. Moriarcis City looks awesome Aylied city, though I have yet to find it in my map. Silgrad Tower adds Morrowind (It sucks though but I think they're still in the early ages of development) for site google silgrad tower u should find it. M.O.E. adds quests and realism to the game. You can go to the top of the White Gold Tower, become a Lich, and cool stuff like that. Malevolent (and all the mods by same author when u search it) are cool.

Have you ever tired RPing in Oblivion? I tried it, and it didn't really work for me (although I enjoyed adding some realism to my playing though - now I only move at daytime unless I have some reason to wander around at night, I eat at meal times and carry food with me at all times, if I'm on a longer trip I make sure to rest my horse [no more cantering the whole way nonstop to my destination], stay at inns at night, take care in planning my trips carefully, and hunt and gather food when my supplies are low, etcetcetc), but a few of my friends REALLY enjoy RPing and now swear that they cannot play Oblivion the "real way" anymore. UESPWiki has a great article with wonderful ideas on RPing, if you feel like you want to give it a go. Try http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Roleplaying that link. :)

Also, I personally really liked looking for little settlements here and there in Shivering Isles as well as Oblivion, seeing if there are quests and just getting to know the different settlements and their inhabitants. Small farmhouses in particular appeal to me. That kept me going for a while.

Trying out playing a vampire char is also very fun, if you haven't done that before. You can incorporate a little bit of roleplaying into this as well, like planning each of your meals perfectly and executing them all while taking into account every detail to make sure you stay hidden and in secret. This also kept me entertained for a looooong time, especially after I got into the habbit of stalking my victims for a whole day or sometimes a week, taking notes on their schedules and then planning how best to strike (sometimes I just ended up assassinating my victims, because waiting for them to sleep got too boring..).

Of course, I usually spend my time organizing my house (*krhm* Ayleid ruin *krhm*). I am quite a pack rat, and have the habit of gathering everything in sight and taking it with me to my house (*krhm* Ayleid ruin *krhm*). I downloaded a huuuuge house(*krhm* Ayleid ruin *krhm*)mod, with plently of storage space and lots of dsplay cases, and now spend 3-4 hours a day organizing my junk in a nice, neat, orderly and cooooooool looking fashion. ^_~ And, being a bit of a perfectionist, I have to rearrange everything if I get a neat idea or knock something over.

Hmm... yes. That's how I entertain myself, after finishing everything else. But yeah, I'm just plain crazy.

And, if you like some mods that don't change any storylines in Oblivion but give you a few fun ways to change gameplay, I personally enjoyed the Toaster Says Share-companion recruitment mod and the Deadly Reflex-fighing enhancement. Excellent, excellent, and added a lot more realism (not to mention fun) to my Oblivion.
