XBurnsie
Basically I've created a Redguard, whilst he does as he is supposed to his face is a shade of grey yet his hands are the skin color I allocated.Any idea as to why this is happening? Also while I'm here, I also need help on how to create a custom warpaint.I used FOMM to extract a warpaint DDS file from the textures BSA, opened it in Photoshop with that NVidia plugin, edited it to my liking, then why I save it using the same NVidia plugin as 16,16 or something. (As 16 squared is 256 and the Creation Kit says it needs to be 256x256, is this correct?)But the texture only covers my NPC's forehead. I am practically brand new to this modding scene and need a point in the right direction. Thanks. Edited February 10, 2012 by XBurnsie
Dree3
Hey, I'm basically in the exact same boat as you. I created an NPC for Whiterun based off of Anoriath's AI. Didn't really mess with complexion or anything much, and she turned out like this: http://i.imgur.com/PXbaP.jpg So I got rid of any mods (all I use are No More Blocky Faces and Natural Eyes). I then went into my LokirsTomb tutorial from the main menu, which made me into a fresh level 1 character, and the same thing happened with him: http://i.imgur.com/DFaWb.jpg When I went into showracemenu through the console, the grey went away and he looked like he's supposed to. But we can't do this for NPCs, obviously. I also tried using the NPC editor on Ysolde in Whiterun, and changed her hair color. Her face then went grey too. When I got rid of the Ysolde mod, she went back to normal. I've tried messing around with different interpolation and complexion settings, but nothing seems to help. I've also tried with both the high-res texture pack, and without. No difference. Not sure what to do at this point, but I thought I'd add to this thread in hopes of someone knowing what could be causing this. Apologies if this topic is noobish, but well, I'm a noob and the searches I got off Google and this forum either pertain to specific mods, or other games. XBurnsie
I forgot mods could interfere. Do you by any chance have this mod as well?http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6923 I think that is probably the culprit as it changes the default skin colors (I think so anyway), thus Redguard skin is gray and Orc skin is purple. I'll remove that mod tomorrow to see if it fixes the problem, but for now it's time to sleep. Edited February 10, 2012 by XBurnsie
Dree3
I forgot mods could interfere. Do you by any chance have this mod as well?Nope, I don't have that one. Though, I removed everything from my textures folder and the problem persisted. I don't -think- it has anything to do with mods, but I couldn't say for certain as I'm very new to all of this. It's worth a shot though. Sleep well!
StanIsTheLaw
Somone else's posted about this in a download for a mod done with CK and said it was a bug with ck and had not been overcome yet.
