F:NV Avanced Power Armor in Fallout 3

So I've been useing the "Classic Advanced Power Armor" mod by Lexx and at the time it was nice, but then I saw that someone transfered the NCR ranger armor from F:NV to F3 and that got me thinking "Why can't we have the remnants power armor (APA) from F:NV put into F3?" There could be diffrent options for it: replace all basic Enclave power armor with it having the NV stats or keeping the F3 stats, have it replace the Hellfire armor with APA with the same stats options, OR have it be 50/50 with the basic Enclave power armor with its own stats. And have it compatible with Drag0ntamer's TUPAM with it's own stats. I am no modder and don't have any idea where to start with this. This is just an idea I'm throwing out there for anyone to take hold and make it there own.

Please comment back.

What about assets from other people's mods? Like the meshes from one armor mod and textures from a Remnants re-texture? With permission from the uploader's to use their resources? I certainly will not upload directly from the game.

I'm glad to see people finnaly respond to this and intrested in the idea. I just don't understand why these people say you can't port something from NV to F3 when people are already doing so. Like the Lonesome Road Riot Armors by BelgianFox. Great example.

With permission, anything is possible :)

Not entirely true. If the retexture is simply a colour change or slight re-working of original Bethesda artwork then it's still illegal to port it from one game to t'other. Same goes for meshes, the mesh must be made from scratch to be considered viable for porting, simply mixing game assets together or rescaling them does not make the mesh your property.

BelgianFox's mod isn't a port. It is an esp which references files that aren't actually there until the individual user unpacks them from their NV folder and puts them into their FO folder. If BelgianFox had uploaded any content from NV he would have been banned. Actually I think someone did wrongly report his file, believing it had ported content and it got took down for a few days anyway.

Because it's illegal and if it happened on a regular basis Bethesda's legal team would come to blows with the owners of The Nexus sites, potentially resulting in The Nexus' closure. No-one wants that
