NPC Texture Problem

When I create a High Elf NPC with war paint and such, she looks fine in the render window, but when I visit her in the game, the skin is all brown and everything is removed. I'm getting the following errors in the creation kit:

TEXTURES: Could not queue texture 0x 247d78f

MODELS: could not find model Meshes\Actors\Character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\3DNPC.esp\00442D.NIF

(3DNPC is the name of the .esp)

I'm also running into the same issue with an orc NPC. Halp.

Im having the same problem too , haven't encountered any model errors but the NPC i made also keep ending up with a abnormally dark head , same texture error .

have a strong suspecion its a glitch in the editor itself , or possibly the achives from where the CK is getting the meshes and textures from. I disabled all mods and even then I still get the dark head issue.

I'm getting the "texture 0x 247d78f" error too and i'm not even dealing with npcs

I'm getting it while placing objects in the worldspace. it seems like it has to do with some item in the space.

I think as the resources load in the viewer the CK gets to the "broken" one and the texture crashes the CK.

At least that's what I think it is.

anyone solved this problem? The "facegeom"(very top post) warning message?

My mod's npc sometimes disappear but I can see them otherwise. I made navmeshes and the npc even walk around but sometimes disappears.

So I thought this might be the cause of this problem.

Didn't work for me.. I am using someone texture and meshes mod for the face and body.. Body works flawlessly.. But face stays black even after CTRL+F4 > _>

To fix the grey face bug:

Convert .esp to .esm (Wyrebash does this. Right-click your mod -> Copy to esm)

Move your .esp out of the Data folder

Load up .esm in CK

Select created NPC(s)

CTRL+F4

Wait

Activate the .esm in your load order

Launch Skyrim

You're welcome.
