I was looking at a new Online RPG and I was thinking about morrwind.... could it be

Same

1.Get to choose your Race witch has some of the morrowind races' in it witch lineage 2 includes Elf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Ork, Human-> humans is like imperial, Nord ext. so just saying)

2. None of the armor or weapons look a like and they look different on you to so you can dress how you want to like in morrowind unlike most RPGs and Online RPGs.

3. Some towns in Lineage 2 look exact to some towns in morrowind Like Caldera in Morrowind looks like some of the screen shots of one of the towns in Lineage 2

4. Get to hunt and level up and wonder off in to the woods and find diffent secerts like in morrowind.

5. Morrowind and Lineage 2 almost have almost the same 3D rendered worlds but lineage 2 using the unreal physics so there are small differences in game detail

6. Lineage almost the same battle system maybe even the same as morrowind

7. Leveling up will get harder and harder once you reach higher levels like morrowind.

8. Both have good story lines but the only thing is lineage 2 doesn’t have intense books every where and stories of different cults and mishaps like morrowind only the world stories in lineage 2.

Differences

1. Lineage 2 you can ride dragons and other fantasy animals. And by ride I dont me travel to the next town and black out till the town loads like morrowind

2. Lineage 2 you can start your own kingdom or join one and have seiges with other kingdoms.

3. Most biggest differences is that it Lineage 2 is online and you can Talk to people all around North America and European countries. but this means paying monthly for it like all online RPGs :(

3. Well as Lineage has some of the races in morrowind it doesn’t have them all like Argonian, High Elf, and Khajiit but Imperial, Redguard, Nord, Breton, are all pretty much human/Dwarf. Wood Elf is Elf and you can’t get as many styles for the races as I and you probably would like.

so I guess you got to deside for your self but its just what i think

1: All of which are common races to a lot of RPGs. No real coincidence there...

2: Actually most RPGs and MMORPGs are implementing this now... lots out there with this feature.

3: Doesn't look like it to me... just typical medieval-style buildings like a lot of these games have.

4: Uh... most MMORPGs have this. The freedom to do what when you want. ;)

5: I don't see that... looks pretty damn different to me. Has pixel shaders for one, by the looks of it. Just doesn't look like the sort of landscapes Net Immerse can create...

6: I wouldn't know about that one, haven't read up on it. :P

7: All RPGs and MMORPGs have this...

8: Uh... so it has a storyline... most RPGs/MMORPGs have this.

So yeah, IMO it's just another MMORPG, some details the same as Morrowind yes, but a lot of games have similar features.

Well I dont Think must open ended RPGs have the freedom like lineage 2 and morrowind for example never winter knights its open end but you have to stay on task. same with all the final fanstays. online RPGs do have freedom but almost 85% of them dont have the detail morrowind and lineage2 dose for expamle RAGNAROK its just all 2D same with dark ages every body looks the same.... the only real RPGs that give you freedom and 3D is Ever Quest but the grapics are not detailed at all like lineage2/morrowind and you cant dress the way you want. the only one that comes close is FF11 online but what it makes up for in grapics and detail the cost is pretty mighty.

If any one wants the lineage 2 free beta that is out TAIWANE I got a giude on how you can get a translated version you can use that one till the beta comes out for where you live just PM me

Wow, how original. Another fantasy MMORPG? Good gracious, what genius!

Seriously, there are untold genres of literature to tap for great stories; the game developers don't need to rehash the Sword of Shannara for every one. How about giving China Mieville's Perdido Street Station the star treatment for a game? I would love to see New Crobuzon or High Cromlech on my computer screen. Oh, man. Seeing the slake moths flying right over you, not like a Cliff Racer, but fast and sleak and brutal, with the only intent to survive, eat and procreate. That would be stinkin' awesome.

Or how about Orson Scott Card's Wyrms? Stephen King's The Dark Tower? Or a Shrek MMORPG? That would be superfun.

I don't want to come off as being against Morrowind, because it's a really fun game. However, we don't need another Morrowind. We need steampunk and crime and Victorian era technology. I'd like to see a Morrowind with the Dwemer as a fully functional race with all of their clockwork technology. That would be awesome.

But no more orcs. Orcs are overdone, and what's more, the Lord of the Rings officially takes orcs and owns them. No game has given orcs the kind of personality that LOTR gave them. Well, let me take that back. The Warcraft series does a better job than LOTR. However, we don't need more orcs.

We don't need more fantasy MMORPGS.

Thoughts?

I'm very angry at the monotony of the game studios, the RIAA and the major movie studios. I would love to see more variety in all three of these categories. Thus, my opinions on video games tend to be slanted in a very vitriolic manner. I don't mean to be offensive to any particular person.

while were calling Linage II we might as well call doom 3 linux pro

or Unreal Tournament 2003

unreal grim and frostbitten tournament of the necroslaying necrowizards castle of grim and frostbitten death march twothousand and grim and frostbitten three

stupid name, looks like itll be a hard game to get working properly, doesnt look too interesting in my opinion, ill just stay with the Unreal Editor, and UT2004...and morrowind...of course.

Sludgewort's SPAM post deleted. For the last time, please don't post 1 lined pointless posts just for the sake of it!

Also ErisSharp, that K  post was extremely spammish. Please avoid doing incredibly short posts like that, thanks ;)
