Mkatt21
It would be pretty groovy is some surplus (IE WWI and WWII era autos) made their way into Fallout 4 as a weapon pack. It seems to be agreed upon that there was a split and a deviation from history after WWII, though how soon after is anyone's guess. I mean clearly, Kalashnikov still developed his namesake weapon and Eugene Stoner still made the AR family of weapons, even the Browning Hi-Power (BHP) clearly was modified in 1962 with an external extractor...so I feel that weapons from circa the mid to late 60's and back are fair game for modders as they don't technically break the lore of the franchise. Even the Officer Model 1911 from Fallout New Vegas fits as the earliest "officer" models were chop jobs issued to general's as a sort of swagger stick in that day and age. I've wanted to see things like a Sig 210 and high quality variants of the P38, C96 Broomhandle, 1908 Luger, Colt 1902, S&W 39/59, Colt New Army Model, and others for quite some time. Sure, they aren't as sexy as a Sig P226 or Operator fabulous as a G19 or HK; however, they are far less immersion breaking (to me...I know this is subjective) and they would just sort of fit the flavor of the game a little more precisely. Edit: Love to see Makarovs, Tokarevs, and Nagant revolvers too. Edited May 2, 2017 by Mkatt21
