Project: Crysis

A new Mod idea that i truly want to bring to fuitation is a mod that adds the armor from the game crysis into the world of oblivion

with it 4 special spells that can increase the following attributes

 

1) Maximum Speed

or in other words greatly increases athletics beyond normal levels but uses up Magicka

just like in crysis how increased speed uses up energy

2) Maximum Strength

this will increase your Acrobatics and all three strength skills(Blunt,Blade,and hand to hand)

the reason for both is think about it if you where 7x stronger wouldnt you be able to bash harder and jump higher.

3) Maximum Armor

This will increase your Block and Heavy armor(or light armor because a light armor version is planned)

4) Cloaking

simply put will cast a cloak effect on you until magicka is used up and will also fortify your sneak ability

it will not however give you chamelion because ,as in crysis, when you make the action to attack your cloaking should disingage

 

some governing rules to these is

1) only one of the four can be activated at any one time

 

2)each of them will continue thier ability enhancment until your magicka reaches zero(each having a constant drain effect)

 

what i need is modders to help bring this mod to reallity

so far im working on getting recordings of the (maximum ________) dialogue and am learning as best i can to use blender, bump mapping applications , and script editing :wallbash:

but i need experienced modders because quite frankly i wont be able to make this mod by myself

 

RECRUITING

so any and all people who would like to help please post in this thread and state what you think can make happen

(ie: someone who would like to produce the meshes, the textures, .esp file to allow oblivion to recognize armor, or a scripter who would like to make the armor associated player enhancement spells)

 

(if you want to help with beta testing another thread will be made when this mod is ready for beta)

 

you may also post if you have any MEANINGFUL suggestions

 

but i would ask that no one just throw clutter into this thread and that the modderators could please try and keep the clutter out

In case your wondering what i used to get these fps on all high heres the list

q6600 quad core (GO)

ATI Diamond Radeon 3870 (512mb GDDR4 256 bit)

2 gigs of Ballistix 800mhz DDR2 RAM

p5n-d Asus motherboard

Creative X-fi sound card(and a Creative 7.1 surround sound system)

550w antec power supply

for the armor you could ask alexscorpion if you could use his sneaking suit and just retex it cause it looks almost exactly like the crysis armor

his usage rights show that he should be fine with it so long as credit is given but i sent him a message anyways just to make sure hes cool with it

also to see if he might be able to offer some help as he knows the mod because hes the one who made it

yeah hes fine with it and also gave the good suggestion of getting the textures off the sdk but alas i only have the demo of crysis

ill try and buy crysis as soon as i can if anyone could get those texture files for me it would be much appreciated

i like the idea of crysis suit, i have the Alex scorpion suit set and it kinda feels out of place. i think its just me and my imersion addiction i have with the game. :biggrin: but i deffinatly support the idea for the plan simple reason of more content and would be nice to see if it could be done

The actualy CS work of this seems perhaps too easy...

You CANNOT use the texture from crysis and put it into oblivion, thats illegal, so you'll have to do it yourself or find a bored texturer to do it for you.

well if you perhaps know a bored texturer i could sure use him/her

but yeah your right i dont need a cease and disist order right now so ill just have them made from scratch

its a very small and simple job i just need a mesh for the helmet
