Missing Institute Teleporter pieces

1) You get the blueprint to build it.

2) Take it to the designated "tech" person in the various factions.

3) Go and get the magnets needed to build part of it

4) Build the part.

5) Talk to "tech" person again

6) Build the teleporter and the power for it

7) Pray that it isn't bugged, power it up and use it.

 

There are a few threads on here and several useful guides to be found with Google.

I can't. Tried to see if I could move around to where the items were but it didn't work.

 

Literally, the one thing I can do in the special tab is build the Robot Workbench. I have no other items or spaces where items are supposed to be.

I had a problem with that quest, I could build it but not connect it to power. In the end I had to disable all my mods to get it to work, not even console commands worked.

Well, I was able to spawn in the signal interceptor via console. I have it fully put together and powered. I know there's a way to advance the quest via console, but I'm not sure how, anyone know how?

the Fallout4 wiki has all the codes for each stage of every quest.

easiest way to use them to advance quests is to type them into notepad and save that text file in your main fallout directory with a simple but descriptive name eg "questfix" then you only have to type "bat questfix" in the console rather than remembering all the different codes for the different stages of the quest that need to be entered to get past the bugged section.

 

I probably didn't describe that very well but it should make sense once you see it laid out on the wiki page

I tried the codes on the wiki page and they advanced the quest, but the transporter still wouldn't work, I had to disable my mods, go to a slightly earlier save, build and power the transporter and then re-enable my mods.
