alkpwn77
I've got a few mods for the witcher 3, many of them I got to help immersion in the game. One thing I had trouble with was the map and minimap. I found them too cheap, and not very immersive. I tried using friendlyHUD to disable the minimap unless I'm using my witcher senses, but the minimap is really crucial to the game, and the compass module of the same mod wasn't really doing it for me. I want to feel like the minimap is representing my witcher senses, in that Geralt knows the general layout of the land around him, but I don't want it to feel cheap by showing me all my objectives, location markers, etc. I would still like to see enemies and, of course, witcher sense clues, because those make sense in the context of witcher senses. I also want to have to check my normal map as if it was a paper map that Geralt pulls out of his pocket. Obviously not literally, I just want the player marker removed so I have to use my surroundings to figure out where I am on the map. I'm fine with all the other markers on the full map, I just don't want it to show where I am like a magical GPS that apparently is standard witcher gear. Another issue would be the fact that it zooms in on the player icon when you open it, so I would like the map to ideally be zoomed out as far as possible in the center of the map. So in short, I want the minimap to reflect Geralt's witcher senses, and the main map to reflect a physical map that geralt has written notes and such on (i.e. all the markers). Is this even possible? Are the minimap and full map too closely related to make such different changes to each of them? Edited May 4, 2017 by alkpwn77
