Brightness problem

Hey guys!

Recently bought Skyrim on Steam and I'm having some issues with the brightness (Screenshots: #1, #2 & #3). As you can see the light (like snow, a silver plate, or just lighter parts of the ground texture) parts are way too bright and almost seem to light up. This is even more so when playing the game than on the screenshots. I'll be honest: I used to run a pirated version, which I like to do with games I'm not sure about (wasn't a big fan of Oblivion), to decide wether to buy them or not, and I didn't have these kind of problems there. Tried a fresh reinstall without any mods and still it's too bright. Checked the bFloat something to see if it was set to 1 and it was. Thing is: I also seem to be having these brightness problems with some other games (Lost Planet 2 for instance), but not with all games (Battlefield 3 seems fine), so I kinda doubt it's a driver/screen settings thing.

Anyone know what's causing this and/or how to fix it? Especially for Skyrim, really like the game but these brightness issues are kinde ruining the immersion for me.

Update: it seems like it's in every game, so I guess it's a driver/monitor thing? Didn't change a thing though, so I don;t understand why it acts like this. Did update the drivers for my AMD Radeon 6950 to CCC 12.1 (using Driver Sweeper to uninstall the previous drivers) and also reverted to older drivers, but nothing changed. Could anyone please help me, it's really annoying.
