Items I've placed in the world don't show up... CK2

First thing I'd check is that the mod is active. I know when I make one, I have to go into wrye bash and activate it before it will work. In the old game, it seems to have automatically activated itself on creation.

If the mod is active, then the next thing I'd check is that there isn't a mesh/texture problem, or that the boots aren't marked unplayable.

The mod was active, I've made sure the boots were playable. I'm testing on a saved game. I can't figure it out. I'm sure there's some sort of options I need to tick in the edit window but I have no idea which ones. I might just have to use chests and place the items inside, that might work.

It strikes me as odd, though, because there shouldn't be any ticking needed if it's playable. In the creation kit window, they show up where you set them I assume? Try hitting the havoc button and see if they're falling through whatever surface they're sitting on. Since SSE, things don't seem to sit right any more. If they do fall through, try placing them a little above and see if they "land" when you hit the havoc button.

I'll bet that's exactly what it was. My character was just inside the Whiterun gate, and I was trying too set the boots down up at dragon reach. Anyway, I don't know what happened but everything else I've been placing in game is showing up just fine. Maybe there was something wrong with the nif file for the object at that time.
