xerberus333
I've been downloading mods for too long. Thumb upping the good folks at skyrim nexus is starting to get on my conscience. I wanna contribute too. Unfortunately, bad habits die hard. I never really got into the whole G.E.C.K. thing back in Fallout, what with all the amusing mods present to distract me. I just finished downloading the CK for Skyrim right now. Frankly, I don't know s*** about it. However, I *am* a professional animator. I use Maya. I'm learning the ropes for Skyrim right now. Reading tutorials so I'm not a complete noob by the time somebody reads this. Though I'll still prolly be a noob... If there's a modding group out looking for an animator, I'd be glad to show you what I can do. I definitely would love to be able to work on some underwater mods, maybe animate some swim cycles for sea monsters or something. This also happens to be my first post here. So i guess, HI EVERYBODY AM I POSTING IN THE RIGHT PLACE HAHALOLTEHBBQ
PaladinRider
Yes you are posting in the right place. If you are serious about animating and maybe have an example of your work, I have no doubt you'll be snatched up by some mod team. Myself, I'm working on a island mod and could definitely use some new animations! I'm mostly a programmer so I can't model/texture very well. It would be great to see some underwater creatures, even though underwater combat is extremely restrictive. AFAIK it's a bit of a hassle to get the Skyrim animations into Maya but it's definitely possible. EDIT: You might find it better in the Mod Talk subforum, Edited February 11, 2012 by PaladinRider
xerberus333
I forgot my email. [email protected]. I can send you a short portfolio should you or anybody be interested in the near/far future. :) Ah yes, the mod talk forum. I was hesitant to post there because it's already a-buzz with people who generally know what they're doing (as opposed to me lol). I really don't have a clue what animation modders use in conjunction with Bethsoft games. I have (teeny weeny) experience with Cinema 4d and (even teenier weenier) experience with Max, if that helps anyone... edit: I'm also handy with Zbrush btw. in case anybody's also looking for some beauty textures/normals/bumps/etc Edited February 11, 2012 by xerberus333
Gavriel
If you wouldn't mind working with someone who's newer, I'm planning a mod and could use some help in the visuals department. The mods mainly going to be based on new spells that are unlocked through dual casting, but I'm also planning on adding some new types of armor. Since I intend for the new spells to be significantly more complicated than balls of colored light I'd be grateful for assistance on either part. That said, I would like to see what your capable of first.
