Jyuconcepts
A bit of a noob mod user here. I recently started playing Fallout 4 again and downloaded a few mods to play and enhance the boring vanilla experience. I downloaded a few of the most common weapon and functionality mods and began playing. After about 4 hours of playing without any problems, I began crashing. Since they started, they occur anywhere from 5 minutes to 90 minutes from startup and I have no way of predicting when it will occur. Also, it happens whether I am recording using PlaysTV or not. Locations can vary from Sanctuary Hills to Lexington and any random locations in between. It just instantly boots me to the desktop, no warning, no freezing, no nothing. I can sort of counter this by Quicksaving every few minutes but I don't want to deal with the stress of crashing when playing a game that's SUPPOSED to be relaxing. After the first few crashed I decided "Well, **** it, if I'm going to crash anyway I might as well download the rest of the mods I want." So I did.I got FO4 SE, a couple Char Presets, and some more weapon mods. I have not downloaded ANY mods that involve heavy scripting or modifying of environment, quests, or scripts.I did NOT download any mods that required SE or any other mod to function without downloading required mods beforehand. My mods are like 95% additional weapons and value tweaks.Keep in mind I have NOT experienced in increase in frequency in crashes after getting the rest of the mods. Is there any program or troubleshooting algorithm to determine which mod is causing me to crash? Is it because of conflicting mods? It shouldn't be since they don't seem to occur when I craft or use any particular weapon. I have attached my Load Order below. I apologize as it is in Notepad and I know there is some sort of stigma against people who use it. It works for me though, and I have successfully edited some files without problems so it works for me. gromulos
Looked at your load order, I can tell you right now the most logical reason you're crashing is because you have no bashed or merged patch file. Also, make sure EVERY mod you have installed does NOT require any of the DLC's as I did not see them listed in your load order. Follow my guide STEP by STEP and it should clear up any problems you're having. Also you should note, if you removed any mods during this play through then you most likely have broken your saves. That's the #1 rule to modding, never remove a mod unless you are starting a new character. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3886575-fallout-4-beginners-guide/ Edited May 7, 2017 by gromulos
