How to open Zeta DLC with Fallout New Vegas Geck

I have a problem with the Geck. :wallbash: I would like rebuilt Zeta mothership in Fallout NV but, when I try to open the dlc with FNv Geck, the program not function. I try to copy the various esp file, like fallout3.esp. I extract the meshes, texture, and various sound file of Fo3 and Zeta, in the NV data folder, but nothing. :facepalm: How can i open it? did you check to see if this spaceship is already included in the data files for Vegas

 

How check this? In the geck, when i open the FNV.esp file, i haven't found the zeta components. Moreover if i can open the Zeta DLC, i can copy the entire cell block in FNV, without rebuild the entire level.

Zeta.esm depends on records in Fallout3.esm. So even when you manage to load everything in the GECK and make your mod, you still have the issue of either 1) requiring people who want to use your mod to include Fallout3.esm which is a whole other set of problems, or 2)copy all the dependent records from Fallout3.esm into your mod and update all the reference IDs.

 

But maybe you'll find another way. So I'll tell you what you want to know.

 

1. Add FalloutNV.esm as a master to Fallout3.esm

2. Change the master for Zeta.esm from Fallout3.esm to FalloutNV.esm. Do not re-add Fallout3.esm as a master.

3. In GECK, select FalloutNV.esm, Fallout3.esm, and Zeta.esm

 

Now it will load.

I don't know about doing it with FNVEdit, I did all the master changes using Wrye Flash NV. As for copying the records, you would have to find a way because I do not know.

 

I tried to use Wrye Flash NV and do as you suggested. But Geck, when it goes to load the various esp files (FalloutNV.esp; Fallout3.esp; Zeta.esp) crashes. I set FalloutNV.esp, as a master for the other two esp files as you said, but it does not work. :facepalm: Have you ever tried to open the Zeta with FNV GECK? If you opened, you did as you suggested? Yes, what I said before is how I opened Zeta with the FNV GECK.

 

I made ​​it! :dance: I copied Fallout3.esp and Zeta.esp again, and tried again to do as you suggested. And this time it worked. Now even the mod that I started with FO3, works with FNV. :woot: Thanks, you gave me an immense help. Thanks again, you're the best ;D :thumbsup:
